In LA, farmers markets were always hard to get to —traffic, parking, crowds…Inconvenient. Easier to just go to the local corporate grocery chain. But Richmond has easy access farmers markets all over the city, even mid week. It’s lovely. I may never buy produce in a corporate market again. #rva

1/3 of the US has always been far right/ bigoted. It didn’t start with Trump. This third gets its wings when the liberal / independent voters, or undecideds or whatever you call them, split their votes between third party candidates or don’t vote. Dem purity politics gives us Trumps.

So, we left Chatsworth CA for Richmond VA, where I now have a spacious art studio in a fun city, he has a boat (soon to be in the Chesapeake Bay) & we are setting about discovering everything this city/state has to offer. 2 years ago my husband said he was unhappy, depressed, wanted a change. At first the change seemed to be me. But what he craved was more adventure, travel & fun, IOW: a boat. I’m not a boat person. So we compromised. He gets a boat, I get a house in a place I want to live. 1/2

sprouts (any sprouts) are the easiest greens to DIY. Get clean glass jar, cheesecloth & rubber band. Cover bottom of jar w seeds, cover top w cheesecloth, add water, soak overnight, rinse & drain 2x daily, keep the jar tilted for water drainage & airflow, sprouts appear in 2–3 days. Wala. No 🦠🦠

This one is different from the previous books. Less witty, less planety, less outerspacey, less roboty. Murderbot was less murderbotty. The dialogue between ART/MB is priceless. Almost none of that here. & what about Three? It seemed like an important element, but then…didn’t become anything.

This entry in the Murderbot universe felt like a travel journal written by an engineer. “We went here, connected pt A and pt B, then went over there, where xyz occurred.” Had the feeling of a book slapped out fast, with very little vim, to appease a publisher who wants to keep the franchise hot.
