The Hereford Gospels for Today project will be on display in St Laurence's from 10-23 September. The book was handmade by Green's Books in Ledbury, then filled with creative responses to the Bible's Gospel stories or the Anglo-Saxon Hereford Gospels. We look forward to hosting this amazing art!

On Mon 3/8, three handbell ringers - Paul, Helen, and Julie - will attempt a full peal in our chancel. A full peal on handbells was last achieved at St Laurence's on 25 Nov 1920 - over 100 years ago! The ringers must concentrate carefully, so our chancel will be closed to visitors until 12:30pm. ⬇️

Today, 22 July, is the feast day of Mary Magdalene. There aren't many images of her in St Laurence's, but there is a beautiful representation of her in the Vaughan window in our south aisle (1884). She is shown carrying anointing oil, and depicted alongside the Virgin Mary and Mary of Clopas.

We are pleased to welcome our new Archdeacon of Ludlow, the Ven Sam Hustwayte, following her collation service yesterday afternoon. It was a beautiful ceremony full of music, including a setting of 'The Peace Blessing' sung by pupils from St Laurence's C.E. Primary School here in Ludlow.
