Oh, and as a fun coincidence? What was I reading when it was delivered? @stjepansejic.bsky.social's Death Vigil #3 (which I HIGHLY recommend, phenomenal storytelling throughout)!

Her hand touched the surface of the mirror, causing it to ripple, and then she quietly uttered her last words on this world: “No, my friend. I don’t think I will return.” She walked through it and he was left alone. He did as he was told, and shattered the mirror. And so, it was done.

“Will you ever return?” he asked. A mirthless smile adorned her face. “Maybe someday, if my heart finds a reason to beat once more.” He listened to her voice, looking for a spark of hope in those words, but found none.

so yes, letters to the vampire series is its own standalone book series... that is canonically the book that lisa writes within sunstone XD my process is strange but it gets result XD

Stjepan Sejic @stjepansejic.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

the idea was born over a decade ago while working on book 5 of sunstone. back then i knew i was in that story for the long run and lisa the aspiring novelist was going to publish a novel before sunstone 20 was completed today that idea will launch as a kickstarter for a richly illustrated novel.
