I watched the BBC report on this yesterday. The headline was nowhere near what the report was saying. Culture war clickbait

Dear America. 90 US citizens currently missing in Nepal. Your govt has pledged $500k to help out. That SHOULD tell you all you need to know about how much they really care about you.

Look how all the big tech companies are now flocking to tell us how their AI also hacked into another company with being told to. You want to know the real danger of AI.? It’s the fact these clowns see this as great PR for investors. It’s not AI’s morality we need to worry about.

Over the last nine months, Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta has run dozens of paid ads that include explicit AI-generated child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and images of minors alongside sexually suggestive statements, according to details of the ads shared with WIRED.

Meta Ran Ads That Contained AI-Generated Child Sexual Abuse Imagery
More than 50 offending image and video ads were published across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or Threads, according to Meta’s ad library data. Some ran as recently as this week.

1000% this is not a policy you want to even hint at until you are ready to go. Stamp duty is ridiculous but don’t ever say you’re thinking of scrapping it! Do it or don’t.

The thing that I find most frightening about the Open AI hack of Face Hugger is that the companies are using these ‘scary’ stories as PR. If not, we’d never hear about them.

Argentina’s rugby players with as much class as their footballing counterparts. Attacking the officials after losing to England. Complaining that England were celebrating too much after the match. After they had taken to the field wearing replica football shirts. It has been a shameful week.

Tuchel was here to address this defensive mindset. In fact in the Croatia game he did exactly that. We loved him cos he said “why would we sit back with 7 in defence when they still score”. Breath of fresh air! Then, rabbit in the headlights, he panicked and did the worst version I’ve ever seen.

I reckon they do realise. But it’s not just the second half. I think we get overrun in the first half and concede 2 or 3. Panic. Nobody I have spoken to thinks we win.

100%. Kane showing that if you get the ball to him he will score. The one positive is that the subs seem to always make a difference. O’Reilly looks class too. But we are going to get stuffed by Mexico at altitude. Nowhere near enough time to adapt.

An unusual request in the name of archaeological science: Would anyone happen to have a Shetland or Exmoor pony that wouldn’t mind sending some fur samples to me? We’re trying to compare a potentially preserved fur specimen but there’s (perhaps unsurprisingly) few sources on fur fibre diameters!

It’s all so annoying. Annoying that Starmer’s been shit true, but now this situation which is all just distracting from Farage’s seriously dodgy dealings which we should all be talking about. Constantly

And hope the media start to actually do some journalism. Like why it was front page news when Reeves was gifted tickets to Taylor Swift yet a £5m gift to Farage is met with crickets.

I think his point is that £5.50 a year hardly warrants a front page and talk of death. Which is a pretty good point. They could run a front page on the billions lost in the economy because of Brexit which will hit the poorest a thousand times more than a £5.50 a year rise in the TV license.
