Yeah as someone who is using a 14 year old MacBook Pro running Linux as his daily machine... I definitely believe we're heading into an era of older devices having much longer lifespans than the two decades of planned obsolescence.

The two toons that were traditionally animated each had big setpiece scenes that were absolutely crackling with energy and I just wish there was more of that.

While some scenes were let down by shaky VFX, ‘Coyote vs. ACME’ was a very charming movie with a wonderfully sincere and heartwarming tone. I wish there were more traditionally-animated characters, but Will Forte and John Cena are both perfect human foils to the toons.

When in fact! You are inherently putting themes into your stories whether you like it or not. It’s up to you to be true, write from the heart, and then step back and be like “ohhh. THAT’s the theme.”

I run into this a lot, where people want to write their stories theme-/message-first. My theory: it comes from having been taught in school to analyze the themes in “important work” - they conflate “being important” with “having themes”, so they pick a theme and use it like the thesis in an essay.
