Check out the documentary, Wick is Pain. It’s a fascinating account of the hurdles the first film had to overcome and the subsequent evolution and success of the franchise. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of a new chapter in the character’s history. #johnwick #animationisfilm

KUBO AND THE SEASON OF MONKEY - It’s been interesting to see all the reactions to Ryan Coogler’s rights deal for Sinners. I started to imagine what I’d do if the rights to Kubo ever came back to me. They won’t, but one can dream:) #kubo #kuboandthetwostrings #artistsrights

In his seminal work, The Legend of Kamui, Shirato Sanpei expresses simply and elegantly how it was and how it is.

Here are a few shots from last night’s Annie Awards. Believe it or not, I’m not an extrovert, but there is something special about mingling with folks you love and admire. More to come. PS I’m sure we can all agree that @marlonweststl.bsky.social is ALWAYS the flyest guy in the room.

I thought y’all might wanna see what a WIP Gordon drawing looks like. He has become my comfort and my avatar. I’ve got big plans for him. But all of that starts with a sketch. Who would like to see his full story as a comic or a tv series?

The last few days have been surreal. Seeing friends, colleagues, and neighbors lose everything is humbling and heartbreaking. But watching our community unite in support is inspiring. If you'd like to help some of those folks, follow this link: www.animationmagazine.net/2025/01/nume...

It’s been a sad week, so, I thought I'd post something funny. Here's a moment from the Gordon pilot - Gordon getting a prostate exam while You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch plays over his doc’s office speakers. It would be PRETTY great if I could make this, @jamesgunn.bsky.social !HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

On vacation and re-reading Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. It was seminal for me and I return to it often. Also, it’s research for something I hope to announce in the next year:)
