Nice, and that's very fair, I've an original 1965 mono, which snaps, crackles and pops, but is still fun to play, plus a 2009 remaster plus the CD. Three's enough I reckon 👍

I was tempted by the 2026 Zoetrope edition, but I'm not sure I need yet another copy / version !

I know a lot of buskers look similar, but he looks the spit of the guy who plays Beatles songs at the Pier Head in Liverpool.

Lol I remember when Harmon Kardon computer speakers were 'highly rated' but geez they sounded c r a p !

So although I decided to stick with my floor standers for the Hi Fi, but then due to rearranging stuff, the computer can no longer be routed through the Hi Fi, so I did opt for some cheap active speakers (Edifier M60) in the end, and while not exactly HiFi, they do sound surprisingly good.

Those continental shutters are great, I've got heavy curtains, but nowhere near light tight, a board or equivalent will be required for that, plus black out drapes to go across the doorway.

Cheers Phil, gradually getting the house rooms sorted out, darkroom organisation comes next ! Although I still need to fathom out actually making it dark !

Yes, it drives the floor standers with ease.

Just some old digital prints, but that's a frame dying for a decent photo to be mounted in it.

Definite album cover material 🙌

Craig Charles / Lister with a nice reminder on why Liverpool Rocks. (Also reminds me that I remember Craig Charles in his youth delivering his poetry in the local pubs) youtu.be/-iNq1vLIEdo?...

I'm kind of getting used to the setup now, I've taken the CD player out, and think I'll replace the amp with something physically smaller. That Dynaudio though is something else, out of my league really, if I did go with active speakers it would be something like the Q Acoustics M20.

Someone's gotta want to display it 😆

Thinking about what photos to put on the wall, I think this print will be going back up there. #BelieveInFilm #filmphotography

To say that I'm pleased with the output from my recently acquired (and now serviced) Makina 670 would be an understatement 😃 "Annalousion" - Dungeness 📷 Plaubel Makina 670 🎞️ Kodak Portra 160 💻 Lab Dev - Home Scan #filmphotography #mediumformat #makina #kodak #portra #Dungeness #believeinfilm

That system's pretty out there!

I did similar with my Kallax unit, I put a sheet of plywood across the back, which stiffened it, plus I didn't like the open space at the back.

Very wise, let us know which speakers you go for and how you like them 👍 (I've some wall speaker stands on standby)

I could do that width with shelf speakers, something to think about!

Gee whizz, I bought the original NAD 3020 back in the 70s, it was a great performer in its day.

Yeh they've been great, don't want to lose them really.

I'd be interested to know what the mid priced Q Acoustics M20 sounded like, I'd need to audition them before buying though.

Trying to fit the Hi Fi into the new space, far from ideal, thinking I might have to switch to a powered speaker and turntable only solution.

Yep it's not how many, it's where can I put the next one!
