Struggling with the second Lipsnitch book. First one was experimental, technically and narratively. I was free to play around and follow all these different people. Now I have to start resolving some open questions, maintain continuity, dive into the heart of the matter, etc. Work, in other words!

I think the "satire" label my book gets fairly describes it better than some other labels, but part of me also resents the implication that I'm not taking the work seriously. For me, what makes Lipsnitch funny is how seriously I take a silly premise. It's a matter of life and death!

I don't have any strong opinions on "litRPGs" as a concept. I just hope it doesn't turn into another YA book thing where some people never grow out of it. People need to challenge themselves to grow, & somewhere along the way it has become too easy for readers to stay in their comfort zone forever.
