My favourite, and a truly laugh out loud Death line, is "DARK IN HERE ISN'T IT?"

Angrier than I expected to be. It's a farce having to play them at all, they should be suspended, and it makes the result not really matter. The whole competition is a joke while City remain in it and unpunished.

You also wonder what the current players have been told internally. They could have been briefed that it is all fake and false and they're being accused of something they haven't done etc. Good way to foster a siege mentality.

Pre-Brexit, pre-Trump, perhaps significantly pre-social media. Tribalism is now so embedded and they're used to seeing powerful entities get away with corruption and lies. My 82 year old Dad is a City fan and he's disgusted at them and the ownership. So maybe there's a generational element too.

Yes there is something very Trumpian about it. The denial, the we can do no wrong, the it's the other lot behind all this etc. The sanctions can't come soon enough, this needs shifting on now otherwise the league is a farce. This isn't normal.

Another inept referee ruins another match. What's the bloody point.

Still blows my mind that Phil thought a cover of Tomorrow Never Knows would be a good idea to close out his first solo album.

As with Kevin Kline, apes, and philosophy, even if they did watch Strangelove they wouldn't understand it.

Can't help but feel you're seeing the beginnings of a UK version of Trump's ICE here.

Defence looks pretty solid, even given the slightly brainless Kerkez. Araujo knows his business and Jacquet is already good and going to be great.

It depends what your goal is. Like Bari Weiss is doing an amazing job if your intention is to run an organization into the ground and eventual ruin. Depends greatly on your point of view.

Midfield diamonds, shirley?

Would say a quick reality check. Manager is still working things out, it will take time, but the midfield is a big question he needs to find an answer for. Looks much better with MacAllister in it. Gravenberch looks like he's forgotten what he's good at.

Impossible to imagine anyone other than Sean Bean playing Richard Sharpe.

During which time young Vetinari visited Klatch and stayed in the home of former schoolmate young (not yet) 71-Hour Ahmed?

The normalization of this man as Health Secretary is every bit as bad as Trump as President. He's insane, his wacko beliefs are killing children, but hey, we have to listen to what he says because normalization. He should be in a padded cell, heavily medicated and made silent.

Dunno, I've never been an American parent feeling under pressure about how to afford putting my kid through their insanely expensive education system. So maybe. Maybe Matt just couldn't hold his booze, one small beer and he gets all emotional.

Harsh. Josh and Toby were so wrapped up in beltway policy bullshit they needed to hear what Matt had to say to bring them back down to earth. Taught them a lesson about focusing on what's important. Plus they deserved their pint interrupting for the previous two days of dickheadery.

Genuinely amazed neither he nor one of his ghouls has thought to use the executive order to change the language from English to American. Or possibly Trumpish. Seems the lowest hanging fruit of all.

But McNulty and Bunk having a weekend in Boston, drunkenly stumbling into Cheers bar and getting into a crazy situation with Norm and Cliff could have been comedy gold...

A propos of nothing "Lemmo" is Liverpool slang for cocaine. So in a Liverpool-set crime drama you could imagine "Mr Lemmo" being a local drug dealer.

At this point I'm annoyed Raul Jimenez moved from Fulham to Wolves without us being interested.

It's already been done. It's called The Age of Stupid, starring Pete Postlethwaite. If you haven't seen it, go find it.
