Esther Rantzen has died.😢 It's so sad that she couldn't choose to end her life before the pain and suffering got too much. She did so much during her life for many brilliant causes, not least Childline. Childline has helped over 4 million children and young people since its launUch 1986. ❤️

I was at a retro computer/gaming fair near me a few weeks back, and there were zero Atari things. Well, apart from an Atari Lynx bag.

Was walking past this building and through the window saw this backrooms-ass room, so I accidentally took the coolest picture ever due to the window's reflection

A backrooms-ass room with a twilight sky and trees seemingly imposed over it in a dream-like fashion (it's the reflection of the window)

Does anyone happen to know how I can get a copy of Atari Legacy magazine issue 01 (Q2 2026) in the UK? Retrolemon are sold out, and it appears atarilegacy.com don't ship from Poland to the UK - yet another bloody Brexit 'win'😭.

Oh how I wish I'd kept buying physical magazines. Even after selling my STe to partly fund my Christmas present of a 386sx40, I still miss it. I have replaced my STe, and thankfully, I still have the motherboard and CPU of my first PC.

There is ZERO chance this could have happened accidentally. And by zero I mean that the odds are so fantastically small that they equate to zero. This should worry every single person on the planet. He can target projectiles at the Moon. www.newscientist.com/article/2583...

I love these old American buildings. We don't have anything like it in the UK. And I'm not facieous, I literally mean it. The 'Old Town' style high streets you still have in the USA are an absolute gem. Some Australian towns still have them. Protect them while you still have them.

You've turned a PSP into a work of art. I LOVED the PSP when I first got one in China (yes China not Japan, as I lived in China) in Feb 2005. It was GREAT, and, with my Nintendo DS, made me feel like I was 'literally' living in the future. Great memories, except for the single joycon 😢.

It is great. It's been a VERY long time since I last used it. My whole career since 2001 has mostly been data centric. Maybe the Jaguar is a bit too ambitious and I should with the Atari ST.😂

Right, I've never made a game in my life, but I want to make something for the Atari Jaguar (and not a lazy 68k thing). Any pointers for getting started? (This may be the start of my first complicated hobby as an adult).

X keeps the souls of demons from Hell in containment on Earth. I often wonder what they actually attack each other about now that in there be only demons. I also worry that the mass of uncontrollable twatnyess might soon collapse and result in black hole that actually consumes the known universe.

There seems to be loads of people who used to post on Bluesky and no longer do. It's such a shame, and I blame myself for neglecting Bluesky so much )I also didn't do any social media, btw). I hereby commit to checking Bluesky at least once a day and posting interesting things when I find them.

Retro Rudders @steverudland.bsky.social · 12/05/2026

Coming on Bluesky is like night and day compared to Twitter. I used to come off Twitter hating how it made me feel and how it made me act. It's like going for a walk in a lovely meadow vs trying to fight all the demons being spewed forth from a portal to Hell.
