When I was a 10 or so my mother babysat a baby boy. Decades later he became very ill and, for a while, it was touch and go. Happily he's back on track now. I wrote this poem when it was unclear how things were going to go. It was published recently in Pleasant Pastimes. Thanks for reading. :)
