I wld like to have the ability 2 change my local curriculum if I disagree with the federal government's. Why would I cede control over my child's education?

Local communities can't be accountable to enforce their own educational standards? Why are national standards even necessary? Also, that's not why piblic schooling exists. I'm not sure how you came up with that. Public schooling exists because people want their kids educated to THEIR OWN standards.
