Got me the 2026 remixed / mastered Rubber Soul, went for the double album with the bonus outtakes disc Promptly dropped the Album, scratched Drive My Car into oblivion Had to buy the album again to replace the trashed disc ! Still ….It’s a cracking version Giles has produced 😎 worth the drama!

And here it is Proof that great music can be made in 2026 Apples for Isaac. Echo and the Bunnymen. Mac is sounding great ! The band is tight. Full of singable chorus lines and melodic - even some horns !

Aussie pub rock gods Hunters & Collectors. By 1987 they had perfected the guitar, drum, bass and horns of their big sound. As a live band they were tight. Great songs on 87’s What’s A Few Men ( an amazing anti war song )

Hells yeah! Billy Joel goes new wave on this promo copy of 1980’s Glass Houses. The drums are dry, guitars twangy and Billy is loose with his vocals without all the layered BV’s. Lovely album of its time.

The vinyl is excellent. You can crank this up loud. Sounds thick and full. Lovely. Highlight - Hush : Ellie’s voice is so well suited to all the muse bluster, cuts right through.

1983’s Care from Shriekback The bleak cover and dinosaur inspired inner sleeve point to the albums content. Some atmospheric Eno like noises, funky bass, a bit of new wave and emo all mixed into a challenging listen. A penciled sketch from a band looking for its identity.

RSD 2026 served up this grail for me The Chills, Sunburnt Limited to 1000 on a very nice orange vinyl, first time pressed since original in 1996. It’s a very good pressing too, worth the wait. Originally credited to Martin Phillipps and The Chills. #flyingnun

The inner sleeve has barely survived water damage, fortunately the cartoon images are still sharp ( and plain weird ) A bit of PVA glue to re laminate the sleeve and a deep clean of the vinyl and this Japan original pressing is ready to go Quirky debut from Cyndi Lauper, auto tune free!
