“This is not a dark chapter in Cornell’s history, it’s a morbid pattern” Editorial Board at The Cornell Sun absolutely fucking your shit UP www.cornellsun.com/article/2026...
We refuse for this victim to be reduced to just another story.
Cornell has failed to protect its students. Cornell has failed to address the growing issue of sexual assault on campus with its pathetic task force. Cornell has failed the student allegedly raped by those seven men at Chi Phi in October 2024. Cornell has failed her. Cornell has failed us.

To Matthew Ingalls, Jonathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris and Scott Kretzschmar: We know who you are and we refuse to let you benefit from this University's concealment.

Vought is breaking the law but he is not “going rogue.” At his confirmation hearings, Vought told Republicans he would do this and they voted for him anyway. If they want to stop him, they still can via impeachment. They won’t.

recently saw someone say that they don’t like PTA scores bc the way they communicate tension is via short-grouped repetition, & the melodies aren’t complex or “likable” enough going to be thinking about that one for a while an unhinged new flavor of the worst what-a-protagonist-needs-to-be takes

Few better in economical/emotional impact than Gouge Away’s Christina Michelle imo, esp when taking on wide-reaching themes (animal cruelty/testing in “Uproar,” abortion in “Idealized,” dissociation in “Ghost,” etc). Rosie Tucker’s also worth a look for this, esp across the “Tiny Songs” album

Way too many people are overlooking Caleb Williams ranking 31st in completion % vs a bottom-4 schedule last year. Guy still hasn’t demonstrated he can consistently + comfortably operate from the pocket. He’s not the QB he’s being made out to be. He may still grow into it, but he ain’t there yet.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.
A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottomA nearly identical mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. It shows a search for the same Amnesty International UK resources URL, resulting in the same message: "This URL has been excluded from the Wayback Machine."A mobile browser screenshot of the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. still finding new small gems in lost weekend but one of my favs that no one seems to have brought up is how the vocal melody of lost weekend is a soft mirror of isbell's "outfit," back in dbt's heyday two songs where looking back contextualizes how to move forward & i don't think it's coincidental

+ love an attached, ambient-leaning outro. it’s a key part of why the execution of all things is a top 10 album for me. glad to have a few more for the pile. & the melodic callbacks to punisher are genuinely stunning, esp woven into the overarching narrative context. really, really strong work.

listened late last night & again this morning. initial impression is that it’s not going to be as culturally important as punisher, but may very well wind up being her defining artistic work. there are big, highly-controlled, multi-directional swings all over this thing, & they all somehow connect.

If Rapids is behaving like this, then, yes, Hong can win a statewide election. (As anyone who can actually extrapolate data should have already cobbled together, despite the depressingly pervasive moderate/anti-progressive insistence otherwise.)

finally catching up on the new strokes lp that's earning raves from a number of vet rock crits & it's... middling? at best? like, a destined-to-be-memory-holed-in-under-two-years type of consistent middling. an ambitious misfire that mistakes style for passion. interesting, but far from stellar.

a lot of outlets—particularly ones who have repeatedly favored moderates—are framing this as an enormous net win for crowley, which (again) ignores critical outcome data of WI's recent election history. this state no longer favors candidates who are nearer-middle. & it hasn't in over a decade.

as much as crowley's re-entry scattered runner-up support, think the view on barnes was that he could claim to be the "reasonable progressive" or whatever, but the latter part of that is key: think his scandal-expectant withdrawal probably siphons as much support out to hong as it does to crowley.
