(My son subscribes in Toronto, only because he lives on one long protected bike lane and works on another that is connected. Two bike stations are within a block of his apartment. Most of his coworkers do not have that safe route and do not subscribe)

Station density (which requires population density) is so important. Years ago in DC, we couldn’t find a station with open slots for a while. It cost us overage charges and was frustrating. Montreal’s bike infrastructure is key, too.People will subscribe and use if there is safety and convenience
