Things I learned from covering college football this week. CalIfornia’s (Golden Bears) online fan base refers to itself as “the Calgorithm.” That might be the best and most clever nickname I’ve heard in a while.

I did an X-Files rewatch a few months ago and it just reaffirmed for me what I'd thought long ago. The show wasn't the same after leaving Vancouver. It was more authentic than Hollywood. Lily Tomlin, Kathy Griffin, etc. are great, but those types of types of stunt casts cheapened the series.

There are videos of the stadium playing Dolly's "My Tennessee Mountain Home" on other sites. It's an incredibly moving tribute and I encourage you to watch. The beauty of the song has always been that you don't have to be from that area or any to appreciate and understand what she's singing about.
