Quests are fun and I’m sure Kim and I will find something new to conquer. And I hope we find the same joy in whatever we do next that we found over nearly two decades in 30 MLB ballparks. — 30 — 10/10

We’re grateful for friends and family that helped this become a reality. They joined us at games. (Rebecca was at the first. Colleen, Justin & Maddox were at the last. Mat was at the most. To name a few.) They provided beds to crash in during various trips. They watched our unamused cat. 5/10

On Monday — 19 years, 3 months and 14 days after that first game at Shea — we completed that relationship-long journey in Detroit. Comerica Park was our 30th MLB team’s home ballpark. (And the Mets won the first and last games of this concluded mission.) 3/10

It was about 3 weeks into our relationship when Kim and I went to our first baseball game on May 19, 2006. The Mets walked off the Yankees and Mariano Rivera that night. We took our first ballpark road trip the following summer and a plan was hatched: We would visit every MLB ballpark. 2/10
