Well, maybe the MAGA farmers didn’t vote for the war (Trump was promising no wars). But they absolutely did vote for the tariffs, the loss of their (immigrant) workforce, and the loss of many government services (Trump was promising all those things).

Note that the cartoon is from 2011. Now, 15 years later, we’re getting stories about MAGA farmers who are FURIOUS that the public isn’t rushing in to bail them out from the bankrupting effects of Trump’s tariffs, wars, etc. (that MAGA farmers voted for when they voted for Trump)

If Trump were to try that again (incite, then allow the riot), it would very likely result in his impeachment AND removal this time. But that wouldn’t be that much worse for him than what he would face in the next two years of a Democrat House and Senate, anyway.

I agree that there is no LEGAL way to pull this off. So what? There was no LEGAL way to do what they tried on Jan 6, 2021. In the “what if” section of this writeup, the most likely one is: “What if the 1/6 rioters return, this time even more heavily armed, to ‘back’ Johnson's play?”

A practice I’ve adopted in recent years to protect me from this is, in any big-ticket business transaction I’m considering, I check the reviews for that business AND set the sorting to feature the RECENT reviews. That makes any recent management change clearly visible.

It was 20% Moore’s fault and 80% ICE’s fault. Moore was just a poor slob who spent years struggling at the line between being a real police officer, and “playing cops and robbers.” ICE, trying to meet the 5000 deportations/day order, threw standards out the window – both in hiring and in firing.

A few months ago, on a PBS station, they reran a documentary on the Watergate scandal – plenty of footage on Nixon’s words and actions. Watching that, I was struck, again and again, at how much of a GENIUS and a SAINT Nixon was, compared to Trump.
