It's Michael Keaton's fault. I have always loved pen and ink. What inspired me to become an artist was comic books. Or rather, the Batman movie, then the comic books my uncle Robert lent a newly obsessed-with-super-heroes Steve. So I guess it's more Robert's fault. Thanks Uncle Rob!

Because I am getting old, by the end of a convention day of sketching and socialing, I have nothing left in the tank to write anything meaningful, interesting, or funny. (It seems run on sentences are fully functional.) So with a lack of context or commentary: some of today's Dragon Con doodles.

See you at DragonCon! When you see this booth, (#1111 1st floor Americas mart 2) you can easily identify me: I'll be the one who looks the least like they know what they're doing.

So, I'm setting up at DragonCon, and realized I never posted the limited edition vinyl for the show. Because I'm bad at social media. Because scrolling fills me with a smoldering darkness. But thank you for navigating through the AI trough to see this post. You are stronger than I am.

An awesome surprise at Gen Con! I hadn't known when it was coming out, and it's been a while since I painted this. Loved the whole idea when they sent me the description, I'm so glad it's part of Magic now. Models are my adorable bastard kitty Cinder, and me without makeup.

Magic Con Amsterdam! Come see just how broken and disheveled a jet-lagged and overworked me can look! I can shake my head back and forth, my baggy eyelids can flap back and forth and slap my ears! Truly a marvel and a horror to behold.

I'll be at MagicCon Amsterdam in July, doing my usual shenaniganery. Signing cards, sketching, and making up stories about how I got into art via a lab experiment gone awry, leaving me forever changed or somesuch.

An homage to Diabolic Tutor on a Liliana of the Veil Retro Frame artist proof. A hat-tip to the OG. (Does anyone use those words anymore? How out of touch am I these days? I want to be groovy and radical just like the hep cats! Uh... six seven? Skibbidy? AM I COOL YET?)

Super excited to head out to Belgium for the Magic Antwerp Regional Championship! I've got this cute lil' lion coming with me. And if you like, you can commemorate the event by getting your own put on a playmat. I hear Belgium has pretty good chocolate. I'm looking forward to testing this claim.

Cosmere Inktober Day 6: Climb Our Damsel, markedly devoid of distress, is relentless in her quest to rescue Mervin, and vanquish the voracious villain. Is this the end of the monsters' appetite for tyranny? (I'm only 18 days behind! At this pace, I may just finish before next years' Inktober!)

My Magic: the Gathering art A-Z-ish: R R is reckless! No recks whatsoever. Any reck we find is swiftly removed and given a very stern reprimand.

My Magic: the Gathering art A-Z-ish: O and P OP Is for Optimus Prime! Fun fact: I was in Japan for a Magic event, then a few weeks of touring when I got the Optimus Prime assignment. So for most of it, I just had my phone to do art with.
