I've been feeling very negative lately, so I want to better with documenting positive thoughts and sharing some of my favorite things every day in April. Day 1 is when the sun hits water and it looks all✨ sparkly ✨

I guess I'll jump in, this is fun hehe! I've been redesigning my comic characters lately and here's a comparison with Faelyn. First image is from 2019 and second image is from 2024!

So, I wanted some cover for a bullet journal I had laying around and thought I wanted some leather-like texture for that. After searching on Pinterest for ideas I found and actual leather design that had a leaf in it...so I gave it a go, but with paper! I'm so happy with the look!

Happy *quiet, chill* Pride.

The chill otter is laying down next to a phone with rainbow beams fanning out of it. They look at the phone and see it says June 1st, and after a brief contemplation, they snuggle up under a progress pride blanket, phone plugged in farther away. It reads “It’s ok if you are tired. Happy *quiet, chill* Pride.”

With all the Ghibli AI nonsense going around, I was reminded that I have actually drawn my characters in a scene from Porco Rosso in 2019 😂 Turns out if you just DRAW the thing, everyone will have the correct amount of fingers (among other benefits) My boy Tav with his occasional sidekick Ree ;D

I hate when people say you were born with talent. I didn't fly out of the womb with a tiny pencil in my hand. I mean, that would have been cool, albeit dangerous, but no, I was born without the pencil. I had to spend years and years practicing to get where I am and I still have a lot to learn!
