Today I finally saw a hummingbird hawk moth, sadly it was trapped inside the new Yorkshire Trading Company shop. Saw a young lad fall stunt like from his MTB as he misjudged his cornering outside the new Yorkshire Trading Company shop. And a drunk man fell over outside my house. Eventful day.

Home again. I did see the photo’s at the last meeting but was nice to see them displayed. Don’t know anyone well enough to butt in on conversations. Had a glass of wine though and reflected on how lucky I am to live somewhere that I can walk home on a rural footpath in the pitch black without fear.

Everyone, what are your vacuum cleaner recommendations? I have over googled it. I have a corded Dyson that I don’t think is ever going to die but I really need something lighter and easier to use but that can still manage Gwen’s relentless dog hair!

Teaching an old dog new tricks, today Gwen and I tried out walking with a hands free lead so that I can use my walking pole on our walks not hikes. Very acceptable first attempt.

No jab. Opted instead to go straight ahead with a referral to orthopaedics in the hope they can do something that will give me a better quality of life longer term. And so the wait begins, again.

I had a job interview this afternoon for a part time job that on paper sounded so good. I have given it a lot of thought but realistically the drop in income would be too much, to save myself the stress, which I really don’t need right now, I have cancelled.

Main reason I have such a huge backlog of photography to sort through is that I don’t like sitting in the bike/boot front room where the desk is set up. So, I have bought a little desk and created a little corner in the living room which will hopefully be enough for me to pick it all up again.

Saw the most lovely GP today. Ankle MRI results even more depressing now they’ve been explained more clearly but have agreed to two weeks off work to be kind to myself whilst waiting for specialist appointments.

Taking the whole week off work. Have forced myself to not do all the jobs around the house that I can see which has been HARD! Instead I have done a 520pc jigsaw, read about 1/4 of my book and am up to 42up in the Seven up series. I have stopped crying every 10 minutes 🙂

I’ve been to a festival with the band. I am a little bit broken (yes, even more so than usual). A Fantastic time was had though.

In ‘evidence that good things happen’ Originally had 6 minutes to make train connection at Lancaster which ended up going to be missed by 2 minutes due to delays from London, but that connection waited for us so I am home sweet home after a lovely little trip away 😊

I loved the Frida Kahlo exhibition today. It was the main reason for this trip but one day my daughter and I will take a break together and not walk tens of thousands of steps! #shattered

Not far, not fast but out on my bike early doors. Bit breezy but beautiful and clear. Near death experience thanks to an oncoming overtaking car. But then a life affirming magical moment as a young deer ran out into the lane just ahead of me I stopped to watch it run off across the adjacent field.
