TFW the next video comes to you all at once 😌 I'm back on my Shortcuts game and excited to share with my community in tomorrow's live stream!

You know what's fun? Making an app for Mac and distributing on your own website so you never have to wait for App Store approval and you can send updates ASAP! Related: Just made a new app for running Shortcuts in the menu bar. $2 or free for my community members: shortcutsmenu.app

Creator Studio apps have been updated! Hoping for bug fixes in Final Cut, but now you can adjust Cinematic mode on video filmed with iPhone 18 Pro:

I Brought My Old iPod Back to Life

📺 Retro tech is back: Bose is making wired earbuds, apps will make iPhone Duo look like a walkman, and I made a free app to revive your old iPod. Here's how it works: youtu.be/3MH-aF3_3x0

There's been some discrepancy about how good the new Beats 360 sound…had to try them myself

091

I saw a couple people share that, weird!

Bug fix update is out, iOS 27.0.1

Shoot…maybe I regret everything

The one app that gets a permanent complication for quick access on my Apple Watch is AnyList. Been using for years, collaboration with others is great, sync is solid, and the perfect app for watch.

Who's someone? No, who's on first.

Quick trip to Brandon Apple Store. iPhone Duo displays are up, and man the black iPhone 18 Pro is finger printed up

📺 I finally decided on Watch Series 12 vs Ultra 4, and I go through *every* tiny detail considered. Watch my review here! youtube.com/watch?v=aFyxFE5O8c4

090

I was mistaken on this. The features require those model iPhones for processing, but the new watches are the devices that ingest audio. You can’t use these features with iPhone only.

110

For general knowledge and research, yes I just look to Siri AI now. For vibe coding and video publishing help (title ideas, tags, headlines) I still use Claude

Glad to see Apple working on ad-free video to paying members, but this will add a lot of work to the process. And for audiences like Primary Tech where half our supporters are on Memberful, I'll have to figure out video delivery x2

📺 5 of the most hidden features in iOS 27, and 2 features that missed the mark. Yes, we need to talk about HomeKit Cameras and Screen Time. Watch here: youtube.com/watch?v=JcQHz43MF7U

Four days, four different Apple Watches. Deciding which to keep soon…

Not yet, just the HomeKit camera summary thing

110

Well like I mentioned: a) One was given to me by Perplexity a year ago, another is a review unit. b) The other 2 I bought as base models when they cost $599 c) Maybe juggling was a bad idea, but they're all fine

📺 I reviewed the M6 Mac mini and it got my Mac Studio sweating…and yes I do juggle several Mac minis in the intro. Watch here: youtube.com/watch?v=GJbrXjKN3VU

I wanted to get the new Screen Time features quickly so I could make a tutorial video, but it requires *all* devices signed in to any Family member account to upgrade to iOS 27 Some of the devices listed here I don't have anymore, and several are my Mom's which shouldn't be connected to Screen Time

Yes, default apps for common tasks like notes, to do’s, etc

Jury is still out on ceramic, but I do like this combo. Also having fun with f1.4 on 18 Pro Max

Maroon braided solo loop with ceramic Apple Watch

2101

Yeah if I don’t specify it defaults to notes every time. And for a reminder it goes to Reminders or asks what app from a list

101

Next time on hilarious HomeKit notifications. Shame it only does this for two cameras on the 6TB plan.

“someone and another person were in the garage”

040

Apparently those file name suggestions are on iOS 27 too! When saving something to the Files app, delete the name, and in a sec you'll see suggestions based on the file content

📺 Lots of apps have been updated to support Siri AI, but how well that works is a bit hit and miss. I cover 18 apps in today's video with…varying results: youtube.com/watch?v=Ztnq8sD14wg
