I watched a documentary about band feuds. Andy Summers was asked what he would change about The Police if he could do it all over again. “The drummer and the bass player”.

Yes. I’ve seen them a few times. They always put on a good show.

Just got an email saying The Enid are pretty much finished as a band. There might be one more album. Sad news but not really surprising.

I love them too. I have this big Mon Oncle poster on my living room wall.

Framed film poster for the film Mon Oncle.

Just noticed that Radio Basson has gone too. It just played music that featured the bassoon.

I remember taking the little cable car up and down the hill.

Thanks. I meant the youth hostel. I think that fortress will be there for a very long time 😊

Agreed. I’ve been a couple of times. There used to be a youth hostel up in the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. I’d imagine it’s no longer there.

Gosh. Wishing you a good and speedy recovery from of all of that.

I saw it performed for the first time a few years ago in Glasgow. I noticed this person wearing a black cap sitting a few rows down and it was Steve Reich himself.

He looks like he’s been merged with Robert Fripp in that image. Or is that the point?

It has to be Alone Again (Naturally) by Gilbert O’Sullivan. #SadSong

Five for me. I would add the first Manassas/Stephen Stills album.

I think there's a couple more I did have at one point but they've long disappeared.

I think Steven Wilson should have been all over this. He would have picked a much more interesting selection.

I’ll be at that one too. The last show at Usher Hall was fantastic.

That version of Northern Lights made up for it. Very nice.

Stephen Pieper @stephenpieper.net · 18/07/2026

It should be interesting at least. We know the originals inside out so it might be nice to hear them in different arrangements and context.

Thanks. I looked at the list of concerts to be broadcast and must have missed that.

I’ll give the Prog Rock Prom a listen. It would have been nice to have it televised.

If you’re a baseball fan it’s also known as “Mets-ing it”. 😁 #lgm

Thanks. It’s a load of old nonsense probably but I’ll give it a watch for a bit of nostalgia.

Never Too Young To Rock. I saw this at the cinema and then it just seemed to disappear. www.imdb.com/title/tt0073...

I got mine here in Scotland about three weeks ago. Quicker than before. The bag is very nice and useful.

I can remember the heatwave of 1976. We went on a family holiday to Blackpool. It was overcast and the air was so electric lighting bolts were flashing around the top of street lamps.

I saw my first and best Van Morrison show there. The Glasgow Apollo was right across the road so spent a lot of time in the vicinity.

I’ve been to a few shows there over the years. It’s a lovely old variety theatre.

Got a ticket to see them as well. I saw some things on Youtube and they are playing some of the new songs.
