Self publishing also means spending half a day transporting your prints through the city because they got delivered elsewhere no matter how physical you where at home during the time your package could not be delivered to your home. My arms!!! #indiecomics

Print is so stressful! Have to adjust some things after receiving the test-print. I wanna have my first 25 pages as an issue for the Comic-Salon in June. #cse #cse26 #comic

Adding #Comic-Pages to the website. I have 25 pages so far. Working on a preview-print-version for the upcoming Comic-Salon in Germany. Wondering when to start posting the link to my #webcomic. Also wondering when to continue drawing since I'm running on survival mode the last couple of months.

Hi, my name is Stephan. I create comics and fantastical illustrations, as well as clean, technical vector work. As a freelancer, I work with a wide range of clients, from indie-studio to large corporation. #ArtvsArtist #illustrator #comicartist #vectorillustrations

After a round of feedback, I redrew my first 12 pages and I now starting with new ones. I feel like with these new pages, the feedback is starting to really sink in. Although I think I'm not a 100% there yet, I'm pretty happy with the new pages. #comic

I went to Den Haag this year and made a lot of pictures of the wonderful architecture in the city. I picked details I love and combined them in this illustration of a neighborhood tea-party. #illustration #tea #neighborhood

I think I'm working almost for 2 years now on my comic. First time writing a story all by my own! This year I finally started the first pages. The most difficult part is to handle my inner critic. Every little step forward throws me into self-dought and paralysis. -___-"

Making art feels impossible for me atm. but then I thought about making Name-Tag-Stickers for my nephews / nieces and suddenly I could draw again. I even had fun designing different crests. Maybe doing something for a specific person does something with my brain?

I‘m in a horrible phase of art-block atm. Not trying to do any challenges this October, but maybe a prompt here and there. Just trying to get back into drawing. This one is #crown from the #inktober list.

An attempt to redesign my main-character. The design is still not vibing with me but I'm also very uncertain about the style. This might be too "realistic" in proportion and in textures. BUT! I like the wings on her headpiece. Gonna keep them for now! XD #sketchbook #comic #characterdesign

I need to "loosen up" the character-designs for my comic. I want them to be more fun and a bit silly. This is very hard to do for my main cast, so I decided to design some side characters because this might be less pressure. I think I'm in the right track! I like this fella! #sketchbook #sketch

Some studies. On the left, I wanted to simplify stonewall and on the right forest. I find it very hard to get the texture of forest right and not just scribble a huge area of visual noise. QxQ #illustration #sketchbook #studies

I got valuable feedback concerning my comic. Basically I have to rework some things. Some is technical and fairly easy to improve upon but some has to do with my style and goes very much into kind of a "gut feeling territory". aka Not so easy!

I've decided to discontinue my Ramen-Stickerpacks. The packaging is made of tea-bags and reused paper/cardboard and takes a lot of time to craft. (Time I need for working on my comic for the foreseeable future .) You can find them at: stephanlorse.etsy.com #ramen #sticker #upcycling #plasticfree

Back to storyboarding! I finished the script for the first volume and now I want to draw the storyboard up to this point as well. That'll give me the chance to gather feedback for the whole volume before committing to draw the final pages.

Rough sketch of a comic page. A woman is surrounded by dark swirls. She turns her head in shock. A reptilian looking eye stares at her.
