Watching a (recorded) DJ Livestream that was done in freezing temperature and unsurprisingly this happened (but they were prepared): youtu.be/TbloZ8rmux4?...

DJ mixing music in cold environment with the message on screen "Weather induced audio recording device failure status: imminent"

It's ok, I'll be staring at this screen for 13 hours

Loading screen of Control Resonant with the main character swinging a hammer and a countdown under it, counting 13 hours

I've been hoping for 6 months now that I could attend my first ABGT at The Gorge but alas it won't happen. Happy to listen to the stream, but sad to know that some of my favorite DJs (Nourey, Amy Wiles, Marsh, Durante) are a few hours away

I was very excited last weekend to get my first Hall of Monuments point in over a decade! Excited to get back into Guild Wars Reforged <3

Even cooler: this story I shared with colleagues was prompted by talking to an ex-colleague. He and I shared a hotel room at Paris Games Week 2011, where he told me he wanted to join NASA. I gave him a massive maths book that I used when I was teaching. Look at him 15 years later:

Le Bureau des Legendes (The Bureau on Paramount+, the source material for The Agency) has never felt more real than at this moment in episode S4E3 (this is from 2018)

Two people in a room, with the subtitles saying "Proof the Russians recruited Donald Trump"

Very clever from Peacock, after I had to stop the stream to pick up my daughter

New GitS was 10/10 for me, no notes. It's so faithful to the original manga that it made me pull my og French TPB from the shelves! It condensed the entire 1st chapter into a very compelling episode. It has that edgy style that Masamune Shirow developed, but refreshed for 2026.

The French anthem, like a lot of anthems, sounds very different depending on how you interpret "tyranny." That's why we have history books and dictionnaries.

Amazing fact about Singapore. The "urban rewilding" projects are really something. I heard that Paris was using trees to reduce cooling in the street during extreme heat.

I decided to treat myself and help improve my health with a Google Fitbit Air. It'll be interesting to see my bio data rather than rely on feelings. I love that the packaging of all the Google products I've bought over a decade are 100% recyclable.
