Sketchbook page: My gift of wisdom is: Allow yourself to create "ugly" sketches. Doesnt matter if the hands, pose, or details are off. Capture the idea while you have it. Otherwise it is forever gone. My sketchbooks are full of Ideas, long forgotten. It is like having book full of lost treasures.

My sketchbook library fills me with Joy. Most of it consists of scribblings, bouncy lines (from the trains, planes & buses) but in there are small stories forming an idea archive. I don't remember that I did them or why. It feels like having a good friend, mapping my lost ideas. #Idea #sketch #comic

A look back. I will start rewriting and redrawing parts of my comic. Why, you ask? Well, I started the project to learn the Wacom and Clip studio, so some things need to be redone. .. but I am also pleased with some parts. #art #webcomic #wacom #clipstudio #writing #script #sketching #comic #story

Throw back: Sketchbook notes. Often I capture ideas for chapters, dialogues and plots in this way. Sometimes in the form of stick figures or blobs that have small speech bubbles. Sometimes it's a little more, but they have in common that the sketching goes fast. #Sketch #art #Sketchbook #Birds

Colleagues in the world-building profession, do you ever experience this? That is, you start drawing on a map, and become enchanted and seduced by the process to the point that you cannot stay within the given format, the paper you have chosen. #map #art #sketch #worldbuilding #inking #comic #artist

It is important to just catch the ideas, to draw, redraw, and iterate on the same ideas time and time again. In the end, something unique and beautiful will emerge out of that haze of snotty and smeared pencil and marker lines and blurry mist of sketchy line work. #sketch #sketchbook #Dragons #Art
