Since I shipped one rig out to Starfront, I still needed something for the scopes I have at home. So new to me AM5 just arrived.

She's been torn down and packaged. After work she'll be heading off to her new home at Starfront. This should be interesting since not only will this be remote but I'll be switching to N.I.N.A instead of the ASIAir that I'm so used to. Can't wait to learn tho.

Finally taking the plunge. Reserving a lite pier and opted in for a pier cam. Can't wait to get my gear out there.

Tired of seeing it collecting dust. I think it's time to send this off to an observatory for remote imaging.

Updated image of the Eagle and Omega Nebula using my Sharpstar 13028HNT-AL. Total integration is a little over 2 hours. It's nice that we had a break from the clouds long enough for me to get a session in. Its been 2 months of cloudy nights or rain here. #astrophotography #astronomy #space

I visited the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center yesterday for the first time. Really loved seeing the space shuttle Discovery up close for the first time. It's absolutely massive up close. Great facility, lot's of different aircraft to see. Will visit again. #astronomy #astrophotography #space

Here are my latest captures of the Lobster Nebula & Cat’s Paw Nebula. They only rise 15 degrees above my horizon so I was worried that I was wasting my time on a lost cause. I’m sure glad I didn’t quit since I’m extremely pleased with these results! #astrophotography #NGC6357 #NGC6334 #nebula

Not even a full year yet but I bought another scope 😅. Here's my Sharpstar 13028HNT-AL. It's 5 inch @ f/2.8 and has a focal length of 364mm. I hope I get to use it sometime this year. Cloud outlook around here is not looking promising for several weeks 😩. #telescopes #astrophotography

The mount for my EAF and ASIAIR broke last month for my Redcat 51. Since originally buying it I've bought a 3d printer. Found a pretty good replacement on thingiverse. Also bought a second CAA so I can easily frame targets when having 2 scopes out.

Here is Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex in dual band. I accidentally left my Svbony SV220 filter attached. I didn't realize it until I sent the stacked image through SPCC and noticed that the colors weren't right. I'll get it right next time #astrophotography

Markarian’s Chain, 50 million light years away is an alignment of galaxies in the Virgo cluster, which is a cluster of over 1,300 galaxies. Captured using my Apertura CarbonStar 8" Ritchey-Chretien telescope from my backyard. #astrophotography

We were supposed to have clear skies here so I decided to take out my Apertura CarbonStar 8" RC. However, like clockwork we ended up having clouds move in intermittently. I decided to give Sombrero Galaxy another go but with something with a little more focal length. #astrophotography

After a month of clouds there were 2 nights back to back that were clear. I had 2 targets that rose at different times. So instead of pausing the session I just targeted the Sombrero Galaxy. I was using my WO CAT91 for the night so here’s the Sombrero Galaxy in Wide Field. #astrophotography

I recently bought a couple lenses that I'm planning on doing some wide field astro photo's with. But since the weather has been crappy I haven't been able to use them. Decided to test them on these test subjects.

Holy diffraction spikes Batman! I was just testing my gear getting ready for an imaging session. There were some high clouds around but the Orion region was clear so I decided to point my CarbonStar RC8 to it and image for a little. #astrophotography

I hope those clouds disappear later because I'm ready. It's been a couple weeks since I've been able to image and I'd like to take the CarbonStar RC out tonight. I've also piggybacked my Canon T8i. #astrophotography

This is my first attempt at capturing 3I/Atlas with my William Optics CAT91. It was suppose to be clear all night but some clouds rolled in early morning and my asiair was only able to capture 10 usable frames. Hopefully I can get another session to capture more data in soon. #astrophotography

NGC 1333 also known as the Embryo Nebula is a reflection nebula in the constellation Perseus. It's roughly 967 light years away. This is 4h 35m of integration time. Seeing conditions weren't perfect so I'd like to come back during a new moon. #astrophotography #photography

I really wanted to use my CAT91 and decided to point it to The Witch Head Nebula. At 448mm focal length the CAT 91 really gets you up close. Total integration time is 6h 40m. I really like how it turned out. Next time I think I’ll go for a mosaic. #astrophotography #photography

California Nebula (NGC1499) an emission nebula in the constellation Perseus. Total integration time is 6h 20m. I split this up between 2 sessions with my lextreme and lsynergy filters. I didn't get as much time with the lsynergy as I would of liked but there's always next time. #astrophotography

The Rosette Nebula aka Caldwell 49 in SHO. At 5,000 light-years away from us it's over 100 light-years across. Total integration time, split between 2 filters is just over 8 hours. It took me two separate sessions to capture since I don't have a filter wheel. #astrophotography #photography

An updated version of The Pleiades (M45). Another one that I look forward to every year. Made up of over 1000 stars, depending on seeing conditions, you can see anywhere between 7 to 14 stars with the naked eye. #astrophotography #photography

We've had some nice weather lately so I'm taking advantage of the long clear nights. Here's the Sculptor Galaxy. At 11 million light years away it's one of the closest galaxies to us. Hopefully I can come back to it soon with the lextreme to add some Ha to it. #astrophotography #photography

The Crescent Nebula (NGC6888) in SHO. Just like the Horsehead from yesterday I used my LeXtreme and LSynergy filters on 2 separate nights. If you look close enough you can also see the Soap Bubble nebula. #astrophotography #photography

The Horsehead Nebula. This is the first time I’ve tried doing SHO with a OSC using a combination of my Optolong LeXtreme and LSynergy. Due to clouds I spent 2 separate nights imaging. I was able to use 55 × 300s frames from the LeXtreme but only 29 with the Synergy. #astrophotography #photography

When I can't decide which I like more, star or starless I just post both. Here's the Pelican Nebula (IC5070). Taken from my backyard with my William Optics CAT 91 using my LeXtreme filter. I'll be coming back to it once the LSynergy gets here for some hubble pallet. #astrophotography

The Triangulum Galaxy, a spiral galaxy that's 2.73 million light-years away and one of the largest in our local galaxy group. This is using data from 2 different sessions. Another Orion Nebula but this time in more natural color. I'm trying to improve my workflow in Pixinsight and decided to try a HDR composition. I didn't want to overdo it with making too many adjustments to the core. I'll likely play around with the data some more. #astrophotography #photography
