iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Also, a lot of the time when you did have work to do, like the constant chore of making and mending clothes, it was driven by you needing the thing to get done, not by a manager riding you to keep KPIs up.

The system still sucked. I'm not glamorizing being a serf, but having the notion that there was SOME amount of obligation that went both ways, and the lower socioeconomic classes having at least some rights is better than not having it. And serfs are harder to replace than gig workers or wage slaves

There also were, at least for a span of many centuries, a host of holidays on which feudal landholders were expected to provide feasts for their serfs, and could get in some amount of trouble if they didn't. I believe there were other similar things as well? 1/2

Those tags are itchy anyway, so it's a useful (and adorable) service! :)

I hope you get what you need from some time off. Taking care of yourself is far more important than making stuff for the internet.

I feel like how Nebula et al are dealing with this says a lot about them, and raises me in their estimation. Actually caring whether their other creators are comfortable working with him is not normally how a content platform behaves in a case like this.

Okay, just stumbling on this. I'm a nebula subscriber, and enjoy a number of the people on the service. Could someone possibly point me to or make a short statement about what actually happened, rather then me going through a giant maze of posts that all already presume the reader knows the basics?

Of course shortly after I've decided to do an episode with a legally-distinct-from-D&D tabletop rpg, Spindlehorse announces a merch drop with the same theme, presumably in advance of doing something similar. 😅

I somehow totally missed that this was a thing. I really enjoyed the story, or more properly, *stories*, of BG, so more of that, written by a skilled author... Yup, picking that up. Even if I have to brace myself... Thank you for the warning.

She could be fun! I also have some ideas floating around in my head for a possible appearance of Sunburst, and/or Flurry Heart. (18+ Flurry, obviously. I looked at it and I can make the timeline work without too much stretching from what I've already done)

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I mean, I am planning a game night episode. Turning it into an orgy might be narratively difficult though. :P (needing my sex scenes to make more logical sense than I used to is a pain sometimes)

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Not for me. My brain desperately wants something to latch on to. XD

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Noted. I have trended towards the serious lately. And while it's good to have that in the comic's general range, I don't want everything to be pulled too far in that direction. New characters could be fun! I need to streamline my character creation process, since it's not just copypasta.

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Yeah, I have been focusing a lot on a few characters lately, and I should mix it up more. I have so many dangling story threads that I should work on. I DO have a rigged Rarity model, I just haven't ported her to Blender 4.x+ yet. I should do that. Also Trixie.

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I have lots of people who I know online, and like talking to, but who I never message. It doesn't work well to just say "hey, what's up?" but the alternative is either to just randomly talk about something I find interesting, or pepper them with questions to get them to talk. hashtag-autismproblems😅

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Doesn't mean I'll do what you're asking, but I'd at least like to know. And I don't mean like specific fetishes or anything. I mean what characters, settings, themes. More or less world building? Back towards fluffier, or still serious but light? More sexy or not? That sort of thing.

This may be a bad idea to say publicly on the Internet, but...*IF* you are someone who has already been reading my stuff, is there anything you want to see more of, or less of? I'm not going to "chase the algorithm", but knowing what people are interested in gives my wandering mind some direction.

This is the part when, having finished a big project, I flail around feeling like "woe is me, no ideas, head empty, art done forever" Just like every time. Fortunately, I've recognized the pattern by now, so I know it will be okay.

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I remember making levels for Descent (the original) and Duke Nukem 3d (also the original). Between that and a life-long obsession with legos, it's surprising it took me as long as it did to start doing 3d art. XD

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Heh... I have some fanfic from WAY back in the day floating around under an older name. It's not good enough that I now want to claim it, but it was an interesting start to my writing "Career".

Which is NOT saying I'm a fan of massive companies hoovering everyone's data, making bad fake art, and building insane amounts of data centers. I just mean the fundamental computer science technology as a thing may have some merit and uses, absent all of the other stuff, after the smoke clears.

I mean, it can also functionally be a golem that is clever enough to be useful for certain things... as long as you don't set things up assuming the golem won't randomly derp on something important. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is kind of a cautionary tale.

I found out when I was having physical therapy for a hand thing, and the therapist told me. I never knew it wasn't normal. 😅 I've only recently started paying a lot of attention to the nuances of other people's hand/finger positions, for art reasons.

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

We are collectively being kind of stupid with the tech, and doing a lot of damage. But it being ah hype bubble doesn't mean there won't end up being some valid uses for it. Surfacing hard to find information (and pointing to the original, so it can't hallucinate) seems like a good one.

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I've heard that one reasonable sounding use of AI in making creative works that is *not* having it do the artistic part for you, is just looking up things in a big/long canon. Like "When has Spider-Man fought Doc Ock & Vulture together, and in what cities? Provide citations" or that sort of thing.

Stellarator 🏳‍🌈 @stellarator.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Translating a big project into a language you don't speak is fraught with ways to mess it up. But "I want some text here" seems like a great use of it. I recognize some of those characters from Japanese. Though the *meanings* of most elude my memory. I spotted "small" and "horse" though. :)

Of course, I still have the challenge of POSING them. Posing hands is also hard. Especially thumbs. Thumbs are weird things. (and I recently found out that my thumbs hyper-extend way beyond normal, so using my own hands as references may have led me astray at times. XD
