#BreakingKindSongs #MusicChallenge Day 9- Song that needs a sequel What came to mind: I kinda think Joni’s The Last Time I Saw Richard is a Debbie Downer sequel to this song. Listen to it after this. youtu.be/d8_fLu2yrP4?...

Excellent choice! He’s growing on me. I heard Hardwired on the radio, and was immediately drawn in by the Pixies lyric shoutout.

Excellent pick! I’ve watched it every year since I was probably 10.

So sorry about your brother- meant to say that earlier in my response. I think oftentimes music can create sense memories, and that connection with you own brother’s passing can make almost a trauma bond. It’s a tough connection, but one that can bring comfort in a common experience way.

Morgan Eve is still touring with The Devil Makes Three, but I just found out they had to cancel this tour, because Morgan Eve got electrocuted. She also has her own band, but I’m forgetting the name as of now. Brown Bird’s version of Jackson is what turned me on to them way back.

He died in 2014 of leukemia. He was having a hard time finishing shows I think in early 2013. Morgan Eve(his wife and bandmate) released their last album, and kept the website going. I picked up a Christmas album which may still be on their site, a couple years after.

Excellent choice with Brown Bird! One of my favorite artists- they played a home show for my then wife’s birthday. Dave was such a sweet, non assuming guy-miss him and his music!
