So the Google Health app on iPhone connecting to the Fitbit Air is kind of a shitshow. Most of the time it won’t connect. I really, really wish Apple played better with third party devices, and I really, really wish Google would stop coding with Gemini.

Windows Laptop. Vendor Recovery USB. Total time from wipe to useable - 3 hours after install, Windows updates and driver updates. 3 hours. Insanity. This is on an Ultra 7 with 32GB of RAM and SSD so no slouch of a machine. And then, this is what greets you. Yuck.

I used Kindle / digital points to buy it, so technically didn’t spend money but along with the Melania Devourer of Men book topping the charts, this J.D. Vance book by the author needs to be in second place.

This whole set up on MacOS, iPadOS and iOS 26 (same wallpaper, tinted icons) looks absolutely fantastic in person. All the new versions are still glitchy AF, readability is a hot mess, battery use off the charts, and I still haven't figured out the lock screen clock thing, but I like the look.

Today is a big day. You have ONE chance to help save our democracy and ensure the balance of power between the executive, legislative and judicial branches. Right now the executive branch is actively taking away your "power of the purse" and systematically tearing down the foundations of our government.

It is hard to disagree that there are changes needed to the federal structure. It is hard to argue that there are not areas of waste, fraud and abuse. It is hard to argue that we shouldn't be taking a hard look at federal spending and deciding line by line the importance of spend. However, the job of the legislative branch is to do this work with the support of the executive. The executive does not and should not have the power to close departments outside of their branch by freezing funding appropriated by the legislative branch. You and your colleagues are granted this power by the constitution. To look the other way and say we just don't know how to fight it, is to give up on the American people, our constitution and everything America means to the world.

Do what's right. Fight for the constitution, the rule of law and our country.
