Yeah those could all be possible, thx for the tl;dr! 😃 In germany we have most pedestrian deaths due to trucks that turn right (killing pedalists) and/or SUVs turing around (killing mainly school kids).

@anjestjarks.bsky.social wie ist das eigentlich mit der legendären Veloroute 3: Entlang der Stresemannallee wird im Herbst/Winter das ganze Laub/Schnee von der Straße auf den direkt angrenzenden Fahrradstreifen geschoben. Die Fahrräder "müssen" dann auf der Straße fahren und sich anhupen lassen. 🤔

I was just trying to add something to the discussion. Re-checking my original post I can however understand how it could be misread. So

For me the term "pedestrians" creates a mental image of adults, but this might be a cultural thing as well. 😊I would personally not refer to school or kindergarden kids as "pedestrians". However, SUVs might also kill grown ups, although the SUV driver should be able to see those in case theynt 2smal

Why are you posting that in "PositiviFeed"? Imho the existence of SUVs and the cybertruck is not leading into a bright future. It rather leads into a future where kids in front of schools are being run over by the SUVs (or cybertrucks) of other kids parents.
