Two bowls on a mid-brown faux wood kitchen worktop. The larger bowl - a Mason Cash mixing bowl, is covered with an elasticated cover with a bright autumnal leaves print. The smaller bowl, a blue plastic one with handles that make it seem oval, is covered with a similar elasticated cover that has a grey Welsh blanket print. There's a glimpse of an ageing coffee pot on the hob at the top of the photo, and a book entitled Regrow Your Veggies because I was planting out at beetroot top earlier in the hope that it might sprout some nice fresh greens for a salad. I'm rambling now, sorry!

We had an unexpected visitor in our garden this morning! A Golden Ringed #dragonfly according to a quick search. Disappointingly common in #Wales apparently though I had never knowingly seen one before. They were not impressed with my miniature pond and soon flew away again!

A Golen Ringed dragonfly is taking a rest in our garden. They are perched on a pastel yellow painted wooden fence. Through gaps between the fence poasts and bars we can see a pale blue painted wall. The dragonfly is big - probably about as long as my hand is wide (although that might not be helpful as my hand is not in the photo). They are jet black with vivid yellow rings along their tail and body. Their delicate wings are also black and they have a surprising bright green colour on their head.

A paperback book lying on my leg which, clad in very bright leggings, can just be seen under the book. In the top right corner of the photo there's also a glimpse of a blue carpet which probably needs vacuuming.
My Life in the Bush of Ghosts is a 1960s Faber paperback with its title in white lettering on a green background beneath the author's name - Amos Tutuola - in green lettering on a white background. Faber paper covered Editions is printed in white lettering on an orange strip down the right-hand side of the book.
The top inch or so of a grey card Dylan Thomas Prize bookmark is sticking out from page 63.

A friend sent over these photos of #BrianWilson and band from his 2005 tour. We all saw him at the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne and it was a fabulous gig. Full kudos to the band for the unwavering support they showed to Brian.

It's #RefugeeWeek here in #Swansea next week and there's lots going on at the Collaboration Station in St David's Place. I'm hoping to get to the screening of Hostile on Monday and to visit the art exhibitions. #Abertawe #RefugeesWelcome #community

A view of five copies of my mini poetry zine, The Frost Child. Each zine is made from different gaudy colouring book pages with its title handwritten onto a white square of paper, glued to the front. The zines are sewn together with threads of White, Red and Green cotton which is just visible along their spines.
The zines are lying on the open brown coloured desk of my bureau where they were lovingly - and long-windedly - created.

Nice book haul from the Barnardo's charity shop in Parc Tawe this afternoon! £5 for the four. I'm curating a bookshelf of small gardening and garden-themed tomes for a long shelf in the conservatory and these are all perfect 💚
