Unsatisfied with the timeline provided by the news media using the available flight data to describe the timeline of events on October 3-4; the crash of C-GRJP #C07286 and subsequent SAR operations, I wrote it up long form for others' reference. (4 min read w/ citations) medium.com/@steffanwatk...

🇨🇦🤝🇺🇸 In March 2026 General G.M. Guillot, the Commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, testified that there had been 16 interceptions of the RuAF in the North American ADIZ over the course of 2025. Why would seven (7) go unmentioned? 🤷‍♂️ steffanwatkins.medium.com/theres-a-dis...

aaaand we would catch a bunch of smaller older aircraft, some water bombers and things. Imagine if we could get one at every Canada Post outlet? They were all outfitted with high speed Internet access for their point of sale systems. We would have incredible situational awareness.

I'm less interested in ADS-B Out than I am in Mode-S, and tracking those aircraft using multilateration, which works quite well for most aircraft that aren't using ADS-B Out. You can quibble that they don't all use Mode-S either, but most of them do, and we can track them with 4+ receivers in LOS.

We need a critical mass of at least 4 receivers around Whitehorse, Dawson City, or anywhere you want to track "black helicopters" that you can't identify today. Anyone can contribute. 🇺🇸 military aircraft can be identified and tracked over Canada, but there aren't enough ADSBexchange receivers in The Yukon. We need a few more people around Whitehorse and Dawson City to set up ADSBexchange internet-connected radio receivers to get a fix on them with multilateration.

Huh. Never heard of that! Not sure where they would have put them, or why? They were pretty particular about storage. Would they have been stored there on a truck to drive to somewhere else where they could be loaded on a plane, in case their hardened weapons storage area was bombed? Seems odd.

The Ontario government paid $23,730,000 USD cash money to Bombardier, and then asked for it back, but that money is nowhere in the 2025 or 2026 Ontario budget. We now know Doug Ford's black budget has at least $30M in it for discretionary spending, how much more is off the books?

But they're not spies or babysitters. Our Canadian Armed Forces members shouldn't be helping the Unites States perform crimes. We don't need to be witnesses or accused of involvement in American crimes down the line. Even if they're only filling out paperwork, they're still helping murderers.
