The least architectural and structural decisions you delegate to AI, the better. Let it do the code monkey, but you should always be the senior making key decisions during the whole process. If you are not, well, you will have problems sooner or later, my friend.

Something AI agents can't do on their own if left to run without precise instructions constraints and fences, is respect KISS principles They get verbose, overdo requested tasks, and address what they think are "issues" even when not instructed Anyone else experiencing this?

When authoring skills for an AI agent you can't just blindly trust AI itself to write the constraints that it needs to follow later when actually coding: you need to revise and tweak them, your direction should be intentional, at least if you want the AI to work your way.

People going full agentic and telling you that if you read your code you are wasting time, and people manually tweaking animation values and small visual details because it also needs to "feel" right. I'm in the latter category.

A little new useful feature in my "Nuxt Social Share" module: now together with social sharing buttons, you also have available some "Ask AI" buttons. You can try it with `npx nuxt@latest module add nuxt-social-share` nuxt-social-share.stefanobartoletti.it/usage/suppor...

What I'm active on lately: 💪An updated version of my @nuxt.com + @storyblok.com starter, that includes: a tailor-made page builder, blog and portfolio features, @gsap-greensock.bsky.social and Lenis already included and configured, SEO and LLMs ready, and more useful features. More 🧵

After years of using it, sometimes TypeScript still gives me some headaches. Ngl, it feels like an unnecessary complication and a slowdown But the reality is that it forces you to solve problems before they can crawl unnoticed into production, so thanks TS for your pedantry :D

You know you are doing something weird when your AI agent replies to you "You are probably right!" instead of "You are absolutely right!"

I analyzed the stacks for all 30 Awwwards SOTY nominees Here are the top 3 frameworks: 🥇 @vuejs.org / @nuxt.com (13) 🥈 #webflow (6) 🥉 HTML+JS (4) I'm not surprised to see Vue and Nuxt at the top of the list, but I was not expecting such domination 😮 (more 👇)

Some of my latest projects required me to use different stacks than my usual. I must say that nothing else I'm trying, works and feels "right" like working with @vuejs.org and @nuxt.com, you always feel like they are helping you achieve your goals and not fighting the tools.

Developers problems: you need to add a new case study to your portfolio website, it will take about an hour at most. You end up creating new features and tweaking old ones, you are a week into it and probably next one as well, and you haven't even started with the content update

I'm a longtime fan of the "Syberia" series, and I've just finished the last installment, "The World Before": 10/10 if you ask me. Great setting, deep and believable characters, touching and emotional story, all as usual. And Kate Walker is one of the best videogame characters ever.

Vibe coding is cool and all, but when a simple oneliner would have solved the problem at hand, it completely rewrites my components with both different styling/linting and logic (often being more complex, verbose, and unclear)

Sometimes being a freelance developer means being free to invest in yourself, make your own choices, and feel free to sail your boat along your own course. Ultimately being empowered by being the architect of your own destiny. Some other times it just feels like a solitary and tiresome voyage

Reddit should seriously stop translating its content into my own language if I'm not explicitly telling it so. It is annoying and not useful at all

Is it a good choice to use Histoire for component development instead of Storybook? I like the idea of having a Vue environment and be able to use Vue conventions since I'm mostly dealing with Vue, but this project seems to be not very updated lately. Ideas? histoire.dev #vue #nuxt

Is #Claude Pro's subscription worthwhile? I prefer its output and evaluations over #ChatGPT, but it is very limited in the number of messages and chat length. Is Pro effectively removing these limits (5x more usage than Free doesn't seem that much, since Free is really limited) Opinions?

I need to dynamically toggle a class to the `body` of a page inside a @nuxt.com project ``` const myState = useState('myState') useHead({ bodyAttrs: { class: myState.value !== null ? 'overflow-hidden' : '', }, }) ``` this is not working, it always applies even if the value is null, why?

No matter how much you explain that a minimal reproduction is essential in issue reports to solve THEIR problems people will still put "not needed". Then in the next 3~4 comments you try to explain that they need to provide it and that you only work on your OSS project and not their final project

Having to watch a 5 mins "tutorial" video filled with marketing s**t only to check how to find a simple information bit, that could take 2 seconds at most in written form, sucks. Royally. And it doesn't make me "engaged". At all. Ok I said it.

In a world always in a hurry where being concise is always a priority sometimes I struggle to adapt Language is the voice of our thoughts, and some thoughts require us to use also complex wording and long-form to be properly expressed Why we don't seem to have time for anything anymore?

Coding is fun, positively challenging, creative and can give a lot of satisfaction. And when you complete your projects, you are usually proud of yourself Coding can also be tiring, be "I'm not good enough", frustrating, leading to self-doubt Two sides of the same coin that always come together
