Thanks a lot! It was pretty unorthodox, I used a 10" tracking dobsonian with a Ha filter, shooting 15 second subs for ~2h for the details, then my SharpStar HNT150 F2.8 in SHO for the colour, around 6h total. Using a ZWO ASI183MM-pro.

My image of the famous Pillars of Creation, in the heart of the Eagle Nebula! The iconic image of these pillars by the Hubble Telescope brought #astrophotography into the public conscious! ❤️ I used two telescopes for this, one for details one for color! Follow for more! 🔭🌌 #photography #science

The Dark Wizard! 🧙 This is the Corona Australis molecular cloud, a dense area of star formation and brilliant blue reflection nebulae. I was lucky enough to capture a bright meteorite exploding through the image! ☄️ Follow to see more of my #astrophotography ! #photography #space #science #star

Thanks a lot! This was with the SharpStar HNT150 F/2.8, ZWO ASI183MM-Pro, Astronomik Ha and OIII filters and Chroma RGB! What will you be using? It's a beautiful target and the core is surprisingly bright!

Eye of God 👁️ This took me over 16 hours of exposure to reveal the faint outer details of this planetary nebula! One day our sun will swell and become a planetary nebula. You can see the progenitor white dwarf in the middle. Follow for more of my #astrophotography !🔭🌌 #astronomy #photography

I took this large mosaic photograph of the core of the Milky way from dark skies in Australia! The pink blobs are emission nebulae forming new stars and the golden glow is the combined glow of millions of stars! Follow to see more of my #astrophotgraphy! #astronomy #space #science #photography

The Blue Horsehead and Rho Ophiuchus! This is a brilliant, dynamic region of the sky near the core of the Milky way. I shot this over 5 hours in very dark skies in Australia. Please follow for more of my astrophotography! 🔭🌌✨ #astrophotography #astronomy #space #science #photography

Thank you! Yes indeed I took multiple images with a range of exposure lengths and layered them with careful masking. For the dark sky I took multiple at the same exposure and stacked them to reduce noise

Thanks so much! Yes a really underappreciated part of the sky!! The secret was just going to nice dark Bortle 3 skies! I just used a simple DSLR and 100mm F2 lens on a Star adventurer, and shot 5 hours 👍🏻

Earth shine! The light reflected off of earth illuminates the "dark side" of the moon. I took multiple different exposures to show this 🌘 #astrophotography #space #science #photography
