Photo of a Tiliqua rugosa, most commonly known as the shingleback skink, shingleback lizard, bobtail lizard, and the two-headed skink (often simply shingleback or bobtail); is a short-tailed, slow-moving species of blue-tongued skink (genus Tiliqua) endemic to Australia. Three of its four recognised subspecies are found in Western Australia, where the bobtail name is most frequently used.

Lucky last, and originally part of Perth’s first suburban train line, the Midland line. First opened in 1881, the line runs 16.4 kilometers from Perth to Midland and has an annual patronage of about 4.2 million. I’ll be riding from Midland on a B-series train.

It then tunnels under the Swan River and nearby airport, before emerging 8.6 kilometers later at High Wycombe. The line has an annual patronage of about 5.6 million. I’ll be riding from Claremont to High Wycombe on a B-Series train.
