Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I'll be at the Sheffield branch of the Forbidden Planet tommorow from 2:00pm alongside Peter Doherty & Nick Percival, signing & sketching for Day Of Dredd. I will also have a small number of copies of my sketchbook 'Sketchy Details' for sale too. Come down if you're in the area. 1185 18
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I spent last week in Cornwall with my family. I managed to have a few cheeky pints in The Pier House in Charlestown, also managed to leave by the front door not being chucked through the window like Donald Sutherland in The Eagle Has Landed!! 2280 28

Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 19/09/2026It's WW2 era, & back then Bats was often depicted using much more firepower than a rifle. It's ok if your target is Nazis. 010 1
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 18/09/2026My apologies... in my defence I am a very stupid person. 040 4

Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 04/07/2026To all my American pals, on this July 4th it's important to remember the words of the Founding Fathers.. "there's a shark in the pond!" 2354 35
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 28/06/2026June 28: on this day in 1974 a young Chrissie Watkins decided to go for a swim in the waters off the coast of Amity Island. What happened next was NOT a boating accident. 45511 55
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 25/06/2026I have (see below), but that is a top suggestion 👌 2111 11
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Here's some more old stuff... these are the first pages from my first story drawn for Marvel US, Thor #477, I'm guessing around '94 or '95. Unfortunately, I didn't get to draw the classic Thor costume, this was during the time that lots of Marvel superheroes were given new EXtreme outfits🙄 1282 28
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 18/06/2026Continuing the recent theme of old artwork, here's a sample strip I did in the mid 1980's in the hope of getting work at @2000ad.bsky.social , & although that didn't work, it did catch the eye of @sharkbitesteve.bsky.social at Marvel UK which led to my first work for them on Action Force. 0354 35
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 17/06/2026I drew this Lovecraft-inspired strip in 1985-ish for a role playing game magazine, it was the first time I got paid for drawing comics. I had done a ton of comics work in fanzines prior to this, & I roped a mate from those fanzine strips in to write it.... wonder what ever happened to him? 1898 89
Staz Johnson @stazjohnson.bsky.social · 15/06/2026I don't think I've ever put these on Bluesky, I did these cover paintings for Marvel UK's Transformers comic in the early 90's. 441056261 1.1K
