We've created a dedicated "download" page so it's really easy for everyone to get hold of the app. As always, StatsCloud is a Progressive Web App, so you can install it with a single click (or tap)! 🔗 statscloud.app/download
A screenshot of the StatsCloud "download" page. The text reads "Get the app" and "You're just a click away". Below is an image of devices running StatsCloud and a white button saying "Install the app". The text below states that there is just one version of StatsCloud and you can install it on any device. It then instructs users to click the button above.

⬆️ You can also import .rds files, and we've improved support for other statistics apps too so projects from these now open up with the charts and analyses created there. You can import these projects really easily through the new "Import project" button or just by dragging them into the table!
A "Projects" table that is currently empty. The action buttons at the top are: "New Project" or "Import project". There is also an option to "Search projects" to the top right of the table. The table itself informs the user: "You don't have any projects yet!"

➡️ Importing SPSS (.sav) files is no longer a PRO exclusive feature! Now, anyone can open up an SPSS file, with no account or subscription needed. Just head to statscloud.app/project/new, click "Import" (or just drag in your file), and you're away!
A zoomed-in screenshot of the StatsCloud project interface. We can see the title of the project "New project" and part of the toolbar. The "Import" button has been clicked and a menu is opened with the following options: "Import from local file", "Import from example dataset" and "Import a template". The first of these is highlighted.

We've spruced up our "About" webpage with a few new additions. This provides a nice overview of exactly what statscloud.app offers. Check it out! 🔗 about.statscloud.app
The landing page of about.statscloud.app. An image of different devices running StatsCloud appears on the right, and the left side displays the text "Meet your new statistics app" with the subtext "Statscloud is a modern, cross-platform stats app with free and unlimited access for everyone on any device". There is also a green action button below stating: "Start a new project".This page shows a screenshot of a dataset open in StatsCloud with the text:

"The new standard in statistics software

Introducing statscloud
statscloud is a fully-featured statistics package designed for psychologists and other social scientists. It is completely free and always available to use for everyone, on any device, at any time.

statscloud is incredibly easy to use. It was built with new users in mind and has a beautiful, slick interface that adapts to any device you're using (desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and phones).

statscloud performs a wide variety of statistical analyses, supported by both R and Python, with an in-built terminal and an option to export to coding software (R Studio and Positron) for advanced users."

There is also some text at the bottom stating "No account needed" ,"Unlimited access" and "Use it anywhere"The main text on this page states: "The future of statistics software

This is just the start.
statscloud is already leading the way in the development of a modern statistics app and is establishing itself as the new standard in statistics software.

Our aim is to be the most widely-used app for teaching statistics. Ultimately, we want to help bridge users over to programming languages so they have the best start in becoming professional statisticians.

We're very grateful to everyone who has supported us on this journey and we look forward to having you join us on it!"

There is a green "Start a new project" action button below this.

In addition, there are four feature boxes with the headings "Free", "Open", "Extensible" and "Reproducible".This page has the main text:

"Get even more out of statscloud

Go PRO.

statscloud is the only statistics app to offer truly unlimited access on every device (desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and phones) with no hidden costs or paywalls.

While a subscription to statscloud PRO is not needed to benefit from full, unrestricted access to the app, it provides access to some unique and exclusive features never before seen in statistics software.

If you need lots of PRO user accounts or would like to customise the app, try self-hosting your own statscloud!"

Next to this is a feature comparison table that compares a "free cloud tier on other stats apps", the "Free" version and the "Pro" versions of StatsCloud. The free tier on other stats apps has crosses through all the features (Unlimited access, install anywhere, code terminal, share, cloud-save projects, libraries). The "Free" statscloud tier has ticks on all except the last two.

In our latest update (0.9.8.7), we've given the mobile user-interface a bit of a spring clean. This includes...: 📍 New navigation icons at the bottom 🛠️ A clearer toolbar for new projects ⬇️ A simple menu to toggle between grid and form views ☁️ A simple icon to show cloud save status
Two mobile user-interfaces of the 'Data' tab in StatsCloud with a blank spreadsheet shown side by side. The one on the left (the older interface) looks a bit more "busy"; it has a green "Save project" button in the header, icons running across the toolbar (for the File, Edit, View, menus) and a switch. The footer just shows a simple dropdown menu with "Data" displayed. The one on the right looks mor streamlined, the green button has been replaced with a simple 'cloud' icon, and the toolbar buttons have been replaced with a simple "Add data" button. The footer now has icons for different tabs (i.e. Data, Variables, Filter, Charts, Analyses)

With our new Bayesian analyses, we've ensured that the output does not overload you with complex information. Instead, you just click/tap a button to get the information as/when you need it. When you do, everything is summarised carefully so you know exactly what you're looking at.
A screenshot of a Bayesian analysis output in StatsCloud. There is some highlighted text at the top stating: "There is good evidence of a difference" and "There is only anecdotal evidence for no difference". Below this is a box plot showing a clear difference between two groups; the "Drug" group has a noticeably higher mean score than the "Placebo" group.A screenshot of a pop-up window showing a prior and posterior curve from a Bayesian analysis. The orange (prior) curve is centred around the mean and the blue (posterior) curve is shifted to the left and is noticeably taller. There is some text at the top explaining what the graph should look like if there is a meaningful effectA screenshot of a pop-up box showing a 'Robustness check' plot. The plot has a curved line raising up and levelling off around a score of 5-6. Besides this is a table listing Bayes factors for different prior widths which are all plotted. Above is some text explaining how this plot should be interpreted. A screenshot of a pop-up showing the results of a "Sequential Analysis". The plot has three lines, with the blue (prior = .707) being more prominent. Sample size is plotted along the x-axis and Bayes Factors on the y-axis. The points climb steadily up to a sample size of about 30, then come back down again and just start to level off. There is some text at the top explaining how this plot should be intepreted.
