The humanoid is a A Fleetman, a genetically modified human made to be able to survive in the vacuum of space. They're not exactly pretty. The collar you see there is not part of their suit, rather them. Whilst they still require oxygen to live they have large lungs and are capable of slowing their body down to a almost dead state and entering a hibernation to stay alive for several weeks in the space. The "Collar" you see attached to them is what they breathe out of, They can exhale to move themself through space without thruster/rocket/jet assistance. Their trunk is their mouth, they eat and talk with it, they can breathe through it though they'd rather breathe through the "Collar" (unsure of the proper word for the "collar")

Multi-Purpose 7 Crew Shuttle approaching a Universal Link Station, to pass through into another universe.

Universal Link Station/ULS. About The size of a city, Capable of holding 100,000 or more crewmembers along with life support and other necessities. The cable contains smaller cables which contain even smaller cables which are all sorted for their purpose on the inside. The Hovering Ai-Controlled "Blinker"/"Morser" signals The other "Blinker"/"Morser" on the Opposite side through morsecode incase the cable is severed or malfunctioning. As they cannot communicate any other way as no sound or signal can pass through a universal wall. The "Blinkers"/"Morsers" read eachothers "blinking" which is morsecode and send the message to the main control room of the ULS where it gets read and replied to. A "Blinker"/"Morser" are also capable of being operated manually incase of emergency. The Giant satellite on the back of the station is for picking up transmissions to then send to the other linking station on the other side of the wall through the cable, which is then sent to the direction of where the transmission is meant to reach, being a declaration of inter-universal war, a love letter, hate mail, conversations between companys/corporations, or just spam. ULS's are built extremely strong with thousands of layers of giant sheet metal keeping the crew and Station safe from any form of attacks such as "Pirate attacks" or "Bullet asteroids", Bullet asteroids are asteroids or shrapnel travelling at speeds so high they are capable of ripping a hole through any space shuttle. Which is why the old sleek ship designs from the first space-age fell out of fashion in favor of the more strong and reliable "Brick Shuttles" Extremely Heavy bricks of steel but that doesn't matter as there is no weight in space and all shuttle repairs are possible in a space station.

a universal wall is a bubble a universe is contained in. Back during the first space-age's when position warping was discovered spacefaring species went on long expeditions to reach the end of the universe, in which they did. And discovered a wall which at first they thought would be a portal to the opposite side of the universe if they figured out how to break through it. After thousands of years of attempts of constructing stations they finally did it and created a small hole in the wall which is held open through a continuous force more powerful than a star exploding in a pipe-like shape. Capable of both traversal through and holding the wall open. The wall is constantly trying to close however the force is just strong enough to keep it open. Ships/Shuttles of varying size are capable of entering the ULS and traversing into another universe through entering the same pipe the cable is going through.
