A group of law students from Compass Jersey came on a tour of the States Chamber. 🏛️ They discovered more about the Island's political history and the role of the States Assembly. They also heard how the Legislative Drafting Office creates the laws. 📧 statesgreffe@gov.je to book a Corporate tour.

The Panel heard: • Key performance indicators will be monitored and details published regularly for transparency. • Dynamic pricing for passengers is standard and a flat rate is not possible due to levels of demand. • A properly redacted version of the agreement may be published but no date given.

The Panel raised concerns that there is not enough data to understand the level of child poverty in Jersey. The Minister said the Department was improving how it collects information to assist with that, and that single parent households should be reflected in the Minimum Income Standards work.

Year 5 students from Jersey College Prep visited the States Chamber today. 🏛️ They discovered more about its history, held a topical debate and asked Deputy Inna Gardiner lots of questions. Both groups voted to approve the proposition: 'Mobile phones should be banned for under 16-year-olds.'
