It's an acute ear infection that is causing me endless grief. I got prescribed a whole thing of meds and have been bed-ridden since around noon. And you bet your beans i called out for tonight. I need these meds to work overtime for me because hearing loss + pain is no joke.

I don't have the fondest memory of the last time I ALMOST guzzled down that much ibuprofen, aside from that fateful phonecall that stayed my hand. But yeah, I had to go to urgent care this morning.

Obviously I couldn't call out of work. But because it's a holiday tomorrow, it should be an easy night. I may even get to go home earlier, if this persists. But if it does, ima have to call out fr fr and get tested.

I had been popping dayquil like it's candy. Took mucinex right before work, and picked up some sudafed. The pain is starting to come back, and it's too soon to pop suda just yet (same ingredients as mucinex). WTF DID I CATCH

Animal fostering/adoption is no different from child fostering/adoption. And it shouldn't be. They all need safe homes and good people to love them, and making sure of that should always be the standard. So I appreciate how strict and serious the process is.

Sooo I put in an adoption application at my local dog shelter. My initial reaction to their process was an immediate "what in the social services world is this?" ... and then I ate humble pie.

Dealt with an emergency and now combating a nasty bug ... first week of October really pulled no punches with me and mine. Emergency is managed, and all is well. But I haven't felt this bad in quite some time... tea and rest can be my only salvation at this point.

I also watched as the driver reversed and chacha-slid all over the intersection just to end up in front of my neighbor dirrctly in front of my house. No idea wtf he was thinking, so I brought in the package and bachata'd my little culito back to bed.

After a nice morning chat with my honey, I went to bed. As I was falling asleep, a FedEx driver pulled up with a package and he was blasting a bachata banger. I live in a quiet 'burb, but the loudness of the music made me very temporarily miss NYC.

I just changed my repayment plan for my student loans ... I've been out of school since 2019, and made only like a 7% dent due to COVID and the SAVE plan. Now I can potentially begin (again) to pay it all off in ten years ... or 26. If the latter, I'll be 63...

I did get myself a treato after work this morning (drove to my Colombian bakery and bought bread as well as a fresh arepa rellena with steak and Colombia cheese 🤤👌). I also chatted with my beloved before I slept the rest of the day away 💜 And said "fuck that" to a staff meeting 🖕🏼
