Over a contrasting black background, 3 green watering cans pour STW pillar-coloured hearts over 4 sprouting seedlings held up by 4 hands. A smiling yellow sun sits proudly between the watering cans. In the background, a rainbow has formed from one of the hands to the other. The poster reads: Start the Wave needs you! Can you help us water even more seeds of change?

An illustration of Audre Lorde, self-described “black, lesbian, mother, warrior, poet”, sits next to the quote, “I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.” Behind Audre, a rainbow in the seven colours that represent each Start the Wave pillar flows across the width of the page.

Lovely group call with Dom and some awesome Earpers. You guys, we had TWO new Earpers in that group call. How epic! Such a great chat. Shameless plug: @startthewave.bsky.social’s funding will be opening in a few months time. Find communities & projects that could use the funding and let them know! 🦋

The trans community cannot and will not be erased. Together we celebrate the courage and honour the legacy of our trailblazing trans siblings by continuing their fight for queer liberation and transgender rights. There is no LGB without the TQ2IA+ 🏳️‍⚧️🫶✊ #startthewave
