#astronomy #astro #astrophotography Interesting experiment to ask different AI models to label the Seven Sisters from my recent photo. Free version of Gemini repeatedly and confidently failed, I think free Chatgpt finally got it but only after a challenge. Definitely steering us to paid versions.

We can always depend on our local astrophotographer, lead DarkSky consultant, and outreach specialist David Heflin to supply us with striking images of the night sky from Ashe County. Thank you, David! #astrophotography #astronomy

Are you reelin' in the years? Stowin' away the time? Are you gathering up the tears? Have you had enough of mine, yet? I guess the things you think are useless I can't understand. Thank you Murrow, Sevareide, Chronkite, Rather, Collingwood for keeping an old guy informed back in the day.

We don't get out much during a full moon, but we decided to give it a try for the micro flower moonrise. It was pretty spectacular from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We shared views and got a glimpse of starlink. #BlueRidgeParkway #Moon #Spring

Ashe DSC just completed its portion of the BRP initiative led by Colgate. Over three wonderful dark clear nights, the stretch from the VA state line down to Phillips Gap was covered (Over 50 miles). We will continue to assist App State with this inspirational project.
