It’s Saint Dolly Day I still mourn her passing. Dolly was different, I’ve looked up to her since I was six. I was attracted to what a special person she was. I haven’t slept well since. I keep asking myself, how can I be a light as graceful, kind, and generous as she was.

A fellow foreign Japanese Artisan was giving away their Chagami and I’ve been looking for one. It is quite old and with some rust inside. A scrub with a tawashi, simmer for 60 min with an 1/4 cup green tea leaves. And soak for 24 hours, and success! All the bad what is gone!

This weekend is Super Yosokoi in Harajuku. One of my fave festivals of the year! The dance originates from Kochi Prefecture on my beloved Shikoku. High energy dancing, mid dance costume changes, and 100% Joy! I’ll be going tomorrow, let me know if you want to join.

I bought this amazing obi two days ago in Asakusa. There are 2 or 3 used shops in the main area that are actually good and well priced. I even convinced them to take 1500 yen odd the price. 😇

Our neighbourhood summer festival was today. I was in charge of making the shaved Ice! Last year they sold 235 kakigori before they ran out of ice. This year we sold 410 before we run out of ice... That means they are always going to make me do kakigori forever….
