The Analogue Pocket is such a cool device, but it's a huge design flaw that the cartridges sit so loose in the device when they're right next to the L & R buttons. Just the gentlest nudge and you'll start cartridge tilting.

Other notable occurrence: Early in my job I was praised for my willingness to defend my time and keep my department under budget on projects. Until suddenly I was too blunt and quick in shooting down people's ideas because now suddenly I had a reputation for obstructing and being unkind.

Day one of class, I told my students that a big part of coding is modifying either your own previous work or someone else's work. I can do that because I learned fundamentals and can read code, so I made known that using AI while I'm teaching those fundamentals robs them of that ability.

Having seen Coyote v ACME, I think companies should still be allowed to write off movies and shows, but with one new caveat: anything you write off for taxes is now public domain. The government paid you not to release the film, which means I paid you for it. That shit belongs to the people now.
