FRIENDS IN THE NYC AREA: Okay, this is a tough one, but please bear with me. My wife's lifelong friend has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is desperately seeking a home for his two cats when that time comes. The elder, Wally, is something like 13 years old and DELIGHTFULLY dim. The younger, Doris,

We have 3% of the followers on Bluesky that we have on Twitter, and you managed to outdo Twitter's response to the KIDS Act with 8500 retweets and countless confirmations of contacting your representatives. Great work patriots, keep going 💪.

Glad all ended well. Our 3 yo torbie has recently also taken to growling at anyone approaching our door. It's less timidity than hypervigilance: she was raised by humans since < a week old, but retains all the street smarts & paranoia of her alley cat ancestors.

Unless the statuettes are quite tall, it's dubious their shape allows enough interior volume for anything as large as a liver, etc.

Just the 1 sniff & he reared up on his hind legs, scrunched up his face & turned it away, & made shooing motions with his front paws. I wish to heaven I had video. But he never ever bothered any kind of human food again.

Our late Siamese mix Vir used to try to taste my DH's coffee. 1 day DH wax getting a refill when Vir jumped up on the chair. Since there was no mug present, Vir decided to sniff the jalapeño cheddar bagel. >>>

Buffy was a beauty! I'm so very sorry for your loss. Cancer has taken several of the cats I've had as well.

I'm so sorry. We had to get it from a compounding pharmacy, but it was so worth it.

Leo's distant relative Vash & his buddy Cocoa approve!2 ca
2 cats sharing top shelf of cat tree. The off-white 1 with faint orange tabby marking is draped across the body of the 1 in many shades of brown. Both look quite comfortable.

Was there a typo? Or am I crazy thinking this looks much more like the 1890s?

What stopped that was putting her on Prozac. She was hard to pill, so we had the pharmacy make it up as a gel that we smeared in her ear. She learned to tolerate the kitren, was much calmer & more affectionate, & for the 1st time in her life, became a lap cat. Wish we'd done it much sooner.

Feliway is worth a try. I had a cat who was usually cranky, but behaved well anyway, that took took violent -- literally-- exception to a new kitten. She attacked him at every chance & truly seemed to be trying to kill him

My family spent a week in Homer many decades ago during a long camping trip through Canada & Alaska. I remember its beauty -- & its seafood -- very fondly.

Many, many, thanks! The book was on clothing through the ages & was out of print even then, & I've never been able to find anything but a few pages copied in other works. TY for adding to my stash.

Could you please share details of the book these illustrations are from? My high school had it & I've been looking for a copy ever since.

2 lines work better, going in opposite directions. I use 3 screw-in cup hooks (1 in the center too) drven into the woodwork around the bid LR window.

Breast pockets are fine & highly useful unless they are encumbered with buttons. Flat ones with open top sides are golden.

And Mary Tamm did a few with Tom very early in his BF career, but died before they were released. Lalla Ward & Louise Jameson have done tons of new stories with Tom.

There's a batch of recent 4th Doctor stories where Tom is glorious, of course, but the actress playing Sarah is downright uncanny. I finally looked at the credits & realized that she was Sadie Miller -- Lis Sladen's daughter!

For example, they did a set called "Return To Peladon," sequels to 2 Pertwee stories starring later Doctors. The aged King & Queen Peladon both appear -- played by the original actors. Tom Baker is still doing these in his 90s & clearly having a ball.

Try the Big Finish audio dramas. Not only do most of them star Classic Doctors (the actual actors, if living), but the format & style of the episodes are very much Classic DW. And the stories are usually excellent, with care & due regard for the shows history.

That's nonsensical. At least in open air smoke can disperse instead of concentrating in wallpaper, carpets, etc. Smoking/non-smoking sections indoors are useless because smoke doesn't read signs. Also, employees don't get to choose. My dad died because of that.

My late husband & his dad were the only nonsmokers in a large family. His oncologist said his was the clearest case of death by secondhand smoke he'd ever seen.
