Runs extremely well in Linux for being right at launch. Some shader based errors in cloud rendering when you have landscape in the distance. But that may be fixable with GE-Proton 11 or a post launch patch.

I love the shock in your wingmen when they're freaked out asking to bug out and you answer "nah, we fighting". Also really nice to see Tupolev finally represented in AC. Not just MiG and Sukoi.

Story is pretty unique with the "you have no nation and live on an aircraft carrier now" setting. Awesome to have a female POC XO commanding the carrier. That social media manager guy, though. I'm only two hours in and he's sus af.

Ace Combat 8 is very good so far. Love that the AC5 wingman commands are back. Aircraft feel a lot heavier and have a small delay when you start a maneuver but it's easy enough to adjust to. Graphical update from 7 is gorgeous even on medium settings.

The film is written, directed, and co-stars Hitoshi Ozawa, a legendary Yakuza actor who is a villain in Yakuza 0, who got his fellow legends involved. This was his passion project inspired by one of his best friends, a trans woman, and he worked with the community for representative casting.
