I've been waiting for this since Oct 2024. I've had an ax that recommends the things I need. I now have to fill in a form to say why I need one of the recommendations. Despite it being recommended by an assessing 3rd party. Also I can only send it back by post. #DisabilitySky #TherapistsConnect

My ATW call today involved me telling my case worker WCS don't do power assist ax. Him telling me I need to phone them and check. Me phoning them, they don't do it. Then me phoning ATW twice as I got cut off to ask that my case manager be sent a message that they don't do them. Now I wait.

You can't make this up. Just called #AccessToWork . It's exhausting. I ended up saying, "So you don't have my report, which you say is unusual after 3 weeks & you are going to ask my case manager, who is on annual leave with an unknown return date, whose email isn't monitored, to contact me? (1/3)

I responded that I was autistic and assumptions have gotten me in difficult situations so I need clear communication and that's not an unreasonable thing to ask for. If it is cancelled I need to be told that. She said she would send a message asking him to get in touch with me. 3/4

So I sit on hold, get through, I say that the paperwork was signed for on the 5th, she confirms it was scanned on the 6th. That means this new advisor emailed me without reading any of my notes. She told me I should have assumed the meeting was cancelled as it wasn't mentioned in the email. 2/4

@transactualuk.bsky.social have created a know your rights guide regarding the unworkable #EHRC guidance. It's not law, no crime is being committed by using a toilet and the responsibility rests solely with the service provider. You can't be asked to prove anything either. #TransRightAreHumanRights

Reminder that with the EHRC guidance coming into force today the responsibility is on the service providers and there is no law dictating which toilet you can and can't use. Also ACAB includes people who decide to be the toilet police. #EHRC #TransRightAreHumanRights

Waited hours for GP to call and they said I needed to go to the eye hospital. So went there and they were great found me a quiet room to wait in. I have an inflamed optic nerve.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. Don't individualise systemic issues. Disabled people aren't the villain. We need systemic change so disabled people get access to the support we need to access work, volunteering, hobbies etc. This includes changes in public transport, workplace accommodations, government support, public venues. 2/3
