For me, it’s Castti for ot2 and Ophilia for ot1! I like Castti a lot because of how good her story is (might be shocking, but I think hers has the best writing in ot2) and her interactions with the other travelers are funny lol Ophilia’s very sweet, and her love for her family drove me to tears :’D

Also sidenote but doing gesture drawings based on real life is a very good way of getting good at proportions and poses!!! And to make it even better: don’t tell people to sit still for you. Try to get the poses down before they move. It’s challenging, but helps avoid getting caught up in details

By the way I absolutely do not mean to say that my old art was terrible or even… bad. It’s just that there were some things that I could’ve improved on back then — and I did!!! That’s the thing about art lmao you just gotta keep going and pushing yourself and you’ll eventually see improvement!

ok so storytime! This is actually a redraw of a sketch I made a year ago, but never got around to finishing. (which happened to be exactly a year later lmao) this time, I tried applying the skills I gained from a class I’m taking this quarter that involved doing a ton of gesture drawings, and…

the original sketch of the drawing from March 2, 2025. While it isn't necessarily bad, the poses are more rigid, and the proportions are off, even for a cartoony style.

the newer sketch used for the drawing from March 2, 2025. the poses are a lot more dynamic, showing a lot of movement. wispy wind effects are drawn surrounding the characters to add movement to the drawing. the expressions are also slightly different.
