I used to think Nick Sirianni was Ted Lasso, but I have realized recently that he is actually Michael Scott.

I'm going to be honest y'all... my real #3 was The Savannah Bananas but I thought everyone would yell at me. But seriously I hate it.

I wish the Sirius station would just play the songs and not random interviews and such. It was all so good. I just want to hear the songs

Eagles Fan Hot Take: There is not a single QB in the NFL I would rather have than Jalen Hurts. He doesn't care about stats, only cares about winning and will do whatever it takes. He loves to prove folks wrong so keep doubting him so that he can put you in your place y'all.

There are a LOT of parallels in the new Apple TV show Last Seen and Tangled. They had to realize that as they were writing it.

Can someone explain to me why my TV has to interrupt what I'm watching over and over to tell me there are storms outside and to stay inside? I am inside. I'm trying to watch my show. I hear the rain. I'm good.

My game is currently #2 on the Apple App Store for paid word games!

Matthew Stanford (New iOS word game out now!) @starkcontrast.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

If you get the game I highly recommend doing the tutorial and then sticking to 5 X 3 puzzles for a bit until you get the hang of it.

000

Matthew Stanford (New iOS word game out now!) @starkcontrast.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Think of it as a crossword puzzle without the clues, you have tiles with the letters to start. Dovetail Words gives you two-letter pieces and one goal: turn and place them until every row and column becomes a real word. It is easy to learn without being easy to master.

Very Random Post: The 1995 movie Copycat is EXTREMELY underrated. Why does no one ever talk about it? It was so good.

Things we can retire: 1. Heart hands. Enough already 2. Announcing movies 3+ years before they are coming out 3. Saying can you believe X thing that came out 25 years ago is 25 years old. Yes time exists 4. Aftermarket ticket sales. Or fix it so if it's resold band gets a cut

000

Matthew Stanford (New iOS word game out now!) @starkcontrast.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

As a side note... you should really consider a Tales From the Crypt book next. My wife and I are watching for the first time since it is now available digitally in its entirety and I think there is a lot of renewed interest in it.

Hate to break it to y'all but 90+% of those videos where a big name band invites a random person up on stage to play with the band are staged. They know in advance person can play. It always gets a ton of clicks online and is good PR for image of band.

An extremely odd thing that happened though was I saw a kid come up to him with wearing a LeBron James jersey and had him sign it. So somewhere there is a person that has a Mo Cheeks signed LeBron James jersey. But now LeBron James is a Sixer which I will never stop talking about
